Op ed pieces and pictures/sound bites taken out of context can make both candidates look bad.

Look at the posts on the picture of Obama not having his hand raised while others did, his holding a telephone upside down, etc. People are so willing to believe that as the example of his presidency credentials. In the face of evidence that prooves that those images were out of context, immediately switch to another source of hate to grab on and tout as the truth.

Although both sides do it, my sense on this Forum is that I don't see "Democrats", "Liberals" on this Forum doing that to the level as those who tout being "Conservative".

I can't wait for the forum thread where Conservatives tell me what right (as opposed to wrong)-thinking/beliefs/values/opinions/ I'm supposed to have and who I'm supposed to hate because their race/ethnicity is not their own...

Yep, Obama (or Clinton) have some real challenges if they were to become President. Some of their policies would require cooperation across the party lines to work. Other policies they may hope to enact are fantasies and wrong timing.

McCain is labeled a traitor because he's not conservative enough. Interesting that at times Conservatives here praise his being a military veteran and then chastise him with equal vehemence because he does not tow the party line...

i agree, well said!!

8 years of balkanized politics and rhetoric have brought us to this, we need someone who can pull us back to the middle lest we fall off the edge. The middle needs to stand up now more than ever and right this ship.

that question poses a bit of a conundrum for me, i've always thought of Colin as being apolitical so hard to know where he stands on issues. But i think Colin is someone who could bring both sides together and would be a strong candidate for my vote.

As a Republican, he would have made a great moderate for sure.

He answered questions without double-speak and from Democrats looking to catch him in a predicament.

His book is amazing.

Yes, I would wonder where he stands but I doubt that whatever he decided, it is based upon fears instead of facts...

As posted before, check www.snopes.com on the Bin Laden family being allowed to escape after 9-11. It is just another liberal media assertion that becomes fact even though it is false. Even today, some are spouting it as fact. Even the 9-11 Commission said it was false.
