Exclamation Rock Music need your help

Hey guys... i dont mean this to sound like a spam post but im in this band called SCARLET VEIL, we are from south texas and we play alternative rock similar to creed and staind, etc.

We are in this competition on our local radio station and the band with the most votes is going to be aloud to be the opening act for Signed and recording artist Flyleaf.

YOu do not have to register or put email addresses, its completely anonymous and if i could ask my fellow titan owners to help out my band, i would greatly appreciate it.

the website is... www.q945rocks.com/smackdownvote

the voting line closes in 30 mins. from now it is 3:30 Central time and it ends at 4

Thanks once again guys and all your help is appreciated.

Scarlet veil is the band

you can hear our music as well at www.myspace.com/scarletveilmusic

Voted for you, but a bit mellow for me. I tend to run more the Five finger Death Punch, Cradle of Filth, Korn, Disturbed, type of music.

Re: Rock Music need your help

thanks alot guys for the votes... we finished out at 13th out or 32 bands, i think that we did pretty decent due to the fact that my band has only been together since october... but yea... i think that is our softest song... we got a couple other that have a little faster guitar work we influence on 5FDP and Disturbed as well but yea were trying to make a variety of different stuff so that lots of ppl can enjoy it. right now were in the studio trying to get some heavier tracks to have fun on stage with...so hopefully some of the newer stuff might be more appealing.

Once again Thanx guys for the effort i really appreciate it.

Re: Rock Music need your help

Oh my God!! when did I get so old. The only band I even heard of in all the above messages was Creed and I don't know that much about them either, I'm only 42. Are ZZTOP and AC/DC even cool anymore?

Hell no they aren't cool anymore.....accept at the nursing home. I'm 44 and I don't listen to that old crap. Jezzzzzzzz What rock are you living under.lol. My wife,42, still listens to AC/DC, but ZZtop? Go get some Canabel Corpse and Circus of Dead Squirrels or maybe some Exodus. The hardest stuff out there when we were young is like easy listening compared to the good stuff comming out now. There are only a couple of groups from back in the 80s I still listen to, and they were considered hard core punk back then, Black Flag (Henry Rollins) and The Dead Kennedys.

You are only as old as you let yourself get, so I see you've filled out your AARP application already.

Re: Rock Music need your help

Got a few years to go on that AARP card. I tried to listen to Hard Attack on SIRIUS radio and its just not my cup of tea. I must admit though I got a kick out of some of the bands names.

Your band sounds great. I would have voted for you but I am a little late, but sounds like you will be on the radio soon anyways.

Re: Rock Music need your help

ha. alter bridge... my favorite band. i think theyre a great band to listen to, due to the fact that they can give you some heavy stuff, mellow stuff, and even throw in hints of blues and great soloing work. awesome band. avenged sevenfold is also the same way with heavy and relaxed but they soloing sounds more like slash... on speed haha... and of course all the others are really good too....
