Ditto, BUT, lets all remember one thing. The president really doesn't have the power to do poop on the economic front. It's our, (YES ours since we vote them in and out) Senators and Congressmen that vote in bills and amendments that cause all the bull crap to happen be it good or bad. Remember when congress was questioning the oil companies a few years back? The prices went down dramatically but over time have crept up. Now they are JUMPING up at a CRAZY rate. Who's in who's pockets now?
A co-worker said that our government is allowing the prices to keep climbing so as to force the people, and corporations to support development of other means of fuel. Again, Who's in who's pockets now?
Until the people of this country start taking action nothing will change. When is the last time you looked at a product to see where it was made and thought if you want your money to support that country. Consumer purchasing is the first line response of the people to show government how we feel. It goes a lot further along than just the fuel prices.
McCain is the less dangerous of the two we will have to choose from this election but it's all those other elections two more years from this one that will make the difference. Who's in who's pockets then?

All you have to do is get people scared, and f**k with the supply a little to spike prices up. Bringing prices down is a longer term proposition as it involves increasing capacity, or decreasing demand.
