hey thanks for all the good luck wishes guys....yeah it's a foreclosure....we're working with a realtor to find them, we've got a list of about 50 foreclosures in murrieta that are $275k or less, built in 1998 or later, 1600+ sq ft. and atleast 3br/2ba....we moved out of socal a year ago cause houses were way out of our price range, and now that there are so many foreclosures, we're trying whatever we can to get back in before house prices go up again....
again, i appreciate all the well wishes, i've got my fingers crossed that we'll be back in cali soon!!!
just a week ago we were looking at selling our house and building a new one out in Charles Town WV but when we met with the realtors about selling our house we decided that we would stick it out for a few more years. The housing market is definately a buyers market right now. But if you think that housing prices are going to be going back up any time soon you are safe to say they will be going down more before they go up. The realtor I was talking with said that he thinks the market will continue to drop for another year or 2 before it starts to recover. Dang that Fannie May and those banks with their "creative financing" Had to ruin the housing market for homeowners. Rant over...
That is a really nice looking house from the outside and for that price it appears to be a steal. Did you get to see photos of the inside? If not it may need some work depending on how disgurntled the previous homeowner was.
good luck either way.

well....no go on the house...the broker had told me that we would be approved for the loan...but he was wrong....our combined credit wasn't good enough....so we're gonna fix that and then look for something again in about a year or so.....and the broker and our realtor told us the same thing....that housing should be as low as it is now, or lower, for about the next two years....so we might be able to find an even better deal if we wait longer, and might be able to get a better rate too with our improved credit...

everything happens for a reason right?
sorry to hear about that man. If you don't currently own a house than you are in good shape if you wait a bit longer because you don't have to worry about loosing money. Good luck and you will get your house.
sorry to hear that mang. you'd be just up the highway from me. murrieta is nice, hot, but nice and perfect between locales like the desert, LA, OC, mexico, beach, PRG's, san diego, etc...
Keep trying!!! I had the same thing happen. I was born and raised in Anaheim, CA, but could not afford to buy a house there. Tried to buy a house in Temecula in 98, but got turned down because of bad credit. Moved in with the outlaws for 8 months, made sure I didn’t miss any payments and finally my credit was good enough. We were finally were able to buy our house, of course it was 20 grand more, but still a steal. Good luck and don’t give up.
That sucks man. Sorry to hear it. We are going to look at some places in Escondido this weekend and hopefully decide if we like it there. Places are not near as nice or affordable in Escondido as they are up in Temecula area. Then again a 20 min commute vs a 45+ min commute can play a major role in the decision process.

Temecula or Murrieta would be my guess. I have been debating getting a place up there too but not to thrilled about a 45+ min commute from Rancho Bernardo.
One month later I respond (guess I just searched Temecula for some reason) but we will be moving up there end of the year (hopefully) which means I will be commuting 60 miles ONE WAY. Looking for a Hybrid in a few months to help a little. I just hope it will be worth it in the end. 2500+ sq. ft. home with 3 car garage and possibly a pool.

Sorry to hear... We actaully got approved a few months ago, but going to pay some shlt off first... Hopefully be ready in a few months. Just take your time and pay shlt off because even though "THEY" say you can afford something it may be tricky after you add everything up...
