During 2002, the first fiscal year for which Bush was responsible, he spent $159 billion of the Social Security Trust Fund surplus.

You asked who said you had to work. I answered with the Social Security website. What kind of answer are you looking for if that doesn't answer you question?

Yup...programs....like the military. Those damn democrats and their out of control military spending...

The entire world spends about 1200 Billion on military. The US is Spending 600 billion right now.

Maybe we spend too much? That's about $2000 per capita.

Re: Classic George W

Any reason you decided not to go into the military? I guess you were upset they were spending too much money. Maybe did'nt like how they play.

He spent the money given to him by congress. Why did your congress give him my money. Your congress is the bad guy. Why are your guys corrupting my president?

My congress? Up until a year ago, who controlled it?

If they cut funding now, our soldiers will still be in Iraq, just without bullets and armor.

I don't understand this post.

Are you asking me why I don't join the military? You think I want to die in Iraq for a dumbf*ck president and a war started on false pretenses so I can likely die or come back injured and unable to get decent care?

Re: Classic George W

Congress started spending SS money in 1983. The democrat controlled congress had no war to fight, just needed more money to buy votes with new ''programs''. When the repubs took over control in the 90's, they tried to stop the spendiing but Clinton continued to ask for more spending than was available. SS continued to loose. The repubs are not innocent either, just did not start the stealing and never did a lot to stop it.

Pelosi has unfortunately spent her time just being angry-not working on how to lead the Democratic Party...I agree. She's a disappointment.

Come on now. What did you expect and who else did you have to do the job, Ted Kennedy? Who chose her anyway???????????????????

Being from San Franfreako I would have predicted it. She's a poser. Nicest thing I could say about her. That town is seriously farked up.
