Paypal question

Sup guys. I have a paypal account but i have never used it for receiving a payment. I sold an item to a fellow titaneer over on CT and he wants to pay through paypal. Im not sure how this process works. Could someone help a brother out??? Thanks in advance....

He paypals to your email addy at Paypal, and your account will show a credit of XXX dollars.
Slick.
Then you can go spend it where you want, or you can convert it to cash, which I never do.

there are a few options.
Receiving payment:
PAYPAL WILL ALWAYS TAKE UP TO 4% ($500 becomes $480)
1. you can ask him for his paypal address and send a request to him for payment. kind of like an invoice.
2. anyone can just send money to any paypal account as long as they know the address.

once money is in the paypal account:
1. use your debit card attached to the paypal account just like their bank card.
2. withdraw it fram an atm. Paypal fees and bank fees apply
3. transfer money to your checking, cc or whatever account you opened paypal with. no fees but takes 3-5 business days.

Using paypal:
1. you can use it as a cc online if if the account has zero dollars in it. you will be asked (if more then one checking or cc account is used) what account to pull the money from. you must be verified to do this.
2. if there is money in your account, just spend away.

Make sure when shipping you have a tracking number. Otherwise you have no protection or rights through Paypal. I hope the buyer is someone cool. I have seen to many people get screwed using Paypal because it was a local pickup or no tracking and the buyer said they never received the item(although they did) and also got their money back. Just a word of caution that you do us a tracking number.
