Looking for some LUV?

Saw this today. Looks interesting enough. If I didn't have kids at home, this would seriousely interest me. It would serve me well. And yes, it would get modded!

Re: Looking for some LUV?

Yeah, but gas is getting pretty high, check the MPG's. I like the Baja, but I think the Chevy will be a bigger bed. 1,600# Payload! And I was raised on Chevy's, no matter what others had to offer!

My brothers were seriousely angry when I bought a Japanese truck. Really.

Re: Looking for some LUV?

It looks like a nissan titan got f**ked by it's cousin, a baja...and drank the whole time it was pregnant until it crapped this out.

Re: Looking for some LUV?

The article mentions the small Ford P/U, which was really a Mazda. I had one in college. This is the direction the average Joe will end up going I think. I would like a nice 4 banger P/U with 4x4 that gets good MPG. I don't want it to look like this thing (article) though.

Re: Looking for some LUV?

I understand your thoughts on the looks. I was surprised it is so car like, it doesn't look like the rear. Front looks downright tiny. That aside, I'd consider one. Specs look good.

Re: Looking for some LUV?

They are tiny....

Because they're currently being sold in Mexico, I've seen quite a few driving around here in San Diego. The front is exactly a geo metro the back is so small (5.5 x 4.5) I'm not sure what you could out in the bed? I liked the original Luv, both of my brothers had Luv pick-ups and were pretty good trucks back then.

It might sell but I bet they would have to do some exterior styling changes for the American driver.

Re: Looking for some LUV?

I must echo TitanBlue... 1600 lbs payload! That's almost as much as our trucks...lol. The gas mileage is worse than I would expect given the size of the engine and the ride height... ce la vie
