if they were armed then yeah the deserved it or were threatening them. but you can wound somebody just as easy. imo

Then they can sue you. I will not say anymore just in case I get in this situtation. Lets just say I won't be sued by them. As far as I am concerned they gave up all their rights when they broke in. I have ZERO sympathy, or caring for these peices of sh*t

So you are saying a 70 something year old man should have to take on 2 young criminals without protection. BTW they had a crow bar.

Helomech - this time I had to chime in. I think that pic. of you and your son in the hottub is priceless. Now I'm was born and raised in Southern California and I can tell you I've never seen anythink like that before. I'm not much of a gun person, as a matter of fact I don't own even 1 gun. However I am for the right to bear arms and actually went out to a gun range for the second time in my life and shot a Beretta 40 and a stub nose 357 (wow had a nice kick). Anywho I think I'm actually abit jealous not ever having a father or family member take me out and show me how to shoot and kill my own meat let alone skin and debone it. Being here all my life the closest thing I've come to animals out in the wild is the L.A. County Fair or the Zoo

Keep posting the pics. there awesome.... Oh BTW if someone where to break into your house here in Cali. and someone where to shoot, defend, or even look at the burglar wrong. They'd be the one's in jail or being sued. As I'm writing this, I'm wondering WHY DO I LIVE IN CALIFORNIA??? HAHAHAHA Oh yeah I remember convienence. But is it worth it. I better buy some land in TEXAS!!!

Thanks. If you are ever in Texas let me know, and you can come by and shoot any of my guns. Might even be able to get you a hog, and show you how to clean it. I only paid 129k for my house with the 40 acres of land. The things you said about California are the reasons I will never live there. I hear it is beautiful, but I just could not bring my self to live in a place I could not defend myself.

That's awesome. I showed my wife the pics. she smiled and said lets go..... Still have family, friends, work, etc. here and it's hard to just pack up and leave everything.

I just moved here almost 2 years ago. Lived my whole life in Louisiana. This was the best move I could have made. The schools are great, and my kids actually like going. The taxes are low if you get some kind of exemption. I pay less than 200 dollars a year in property taxes to the state of Texas, and I don't pay any income tax here.
