Anyone have trouble with not seeing pedestrians while making a left turn? The A-Pillar is so damn big and I have the Window deflectors which don't help but at a certain angle I cannot see pedestrians. Just wondering if anyone else has this problem. It's freaking me out. I almost hit someone a couple of times as they were crossing the street towards me and I was making a left turn.
The rather large A-Pillar has been a complaint of many. It has been suggested to Nissan to design it smaller on the next generation. I removed my window visorvents because they made it even worse, and reduced awareness of approaching vehicles.

There have been times when I'm approaching a left turn that a car is also approaching the intersection from that direction and the speed and distance are exactly what's needed to hide that damned pipsqueak ricer until I'm almost at the turn! Yes, you can lose whole cars in that blind spot, not just people! It's just something we need to adjust to and be pro-active about checking. It's like the "glance back over the shoulder to switch lanes" thing now with me.... I bob and weave back and forth and look like freaking Forest Gump coming to an intersection, but at least I'm not on trial for manslaughter....................... yet.
Yep, definitely an issue, but as BB stated, you just need to adjust to it. Like almost all cars, trucks, and SUVs, there are certain blind spots and special characteristics that need to be taken in to consideration while driving. Like in my dad's Avalanche, you can not see anything or anyone at your 5 and 7 in the rearview.

When I'm going around left hand turns/curves, I'm moving my head back and forth around that A pillar looking like the pilot of a taildragger taxiing down a runway. I can lose the whole view of the road completely if I don't.

I have very few complaints about the Titan but that "A" pillar is a real problem. I have almost hit a pedestrian once and I did run into my neighbor's Subaru wagon as he was stopped at the mail box around a corner where the pillar blocked my view. I hit him with my turned tire, only damage I sustained was knocking out the alignment, his was thousands to repair. I have now gone to the "bob and weave" move to see around it.

I was wondering if putting a mirror on the dash angled at a certain degree to view pedestrians would make a difference. Along time ago, Hot Rodders that had chopped rooflines had a glass mirror attachment that let them see when the traffic light changed cuz they counldn't see upward.
You could try a mirror; Will it be big enough to be sure and trust what it shows... or doesn't???
Like others have said,
Its just something one has to adjust to, rather move around a little just like when looking over the shoulder, than not and risk hitting someone.
Maybe get those mirrors they have on school buses that you mount to the front fenders to show what's in front of the bumper? You could point them anywhere you want.... LOL!
