i got it all now. i do just that, i email the ringtones to myself. thanks for all the help guys. i still dont like this phone a great deal but it has a $hit load of applications to it.

I just jailbroke my iPhone 3G and it was sooooo easy and worth it. Now I can customize whatever I want and use whatever apps I want. It's 100% safe b/c you can always restore back to "normal"
My screen now looks kinda like this:
