Anyone know where to look? I live in Lubbock Texas and have not gotten much help from google. I know I'm young and still have no idea how I'm going to afford it just yet as all my money from work goes into college, but I figure with the way things are going the beautiful old school muscle cars will be gone soon.
Anybody point me in the right direction?
Thanks,
Chris

What kind of muscle car? Check craigslist for local listings.

That's a sum of my list so far, might list more if I have any luck.
It needs to be in running condition, I don't know too much about engines.

there are plenty of dealerships here in houston. there's one in particular that sells nothing but muscle cars in conroe (N houston) right off I-45 but no website.
I say you get yourself a modern muscle. 03-04 mustang cobra would be a hell of a car to get. if you want to go old school, the ones listed above are nice. a 1970 roadrunner GTX is pure sex.

This is a good friends dad's car that he is looking to sell. I know he wants around $20k for it but it is a nice ride. I could find out all the details if it is something you would be interested in.
I want a 1968-1969 Chevy Camaro Convertible. I would prefer the 69 and I would prefer the x66 badged SS. Id like to do a full restore on it, so it need not be running, but I would prefer not a lot of metal work.
i own a 25 yold turbo zx. Which Car and Driver voted one of the most underrated cars of all time and 1 of the best cars of the 80s. I t had much better brakes, suspension, transmission and more power than any Mustang or Camaro of the day. Only thing really close was the Corvette and 944 with the 944 being the best.
That being said I would caution you about buying one of them and esp any older car from the 60s-70s you said motor work etc is beyond what you want to do. ALL old cars require constant attention and maintenance to keep them running well and most really can't be driven much or they will deteriorate in value. Keep in mind that people used to get rid of their cars every 3-4 years because they where rusting out and falling apart.
You don't have to worry about them being gone. They will be around forever. What you do have to worry about is that you may not be able to afford one as the prices will continue to go up other than say during a recession like we ar in now.
Me? i'd really lie a 1970-71 RsSs Camaro with the split front bumper one of G.M.s best looing cars ever
Like a few have said before me try craigslist or autotrader. If there are any dragstrips around you there are a lot of cars for sale at them. Seems like right now whenever I go to one there are always race cars and restored classics for sale because people can't afford their toys anymore. And like sumair said the newer cobras are really cool cars and make A LOT of power with just a few mods.
