Help me decide on a newer Titan or FX45!

I bought my Titan to help haul supplies to my houses for rebuilding after hurricane Ike. I have been a long time sports car owner so this was something completely different. As of late (since we are finished rebuilding for now) I haven't been using the truck for anything other than a daily driver. Putting about 120+ miles on her each day during my daily commute. I find myself only hauling my bicycle rack (with or without bikes) to the trails almost every other day. Other than that nothing else.

However in my search to replace to Titan with an FX45 I found another Titan. This time an 08 LE with some cool doodahs that I am used to. I started thinking, what if I need a truck sometime in the future. The FX45 cannot tow heavy objects. But honestly what would I tow? I might get a kayak, but it's nothing that the FX cannot handle. Maybe a jet ski or small seadoo jet boat, but the FX should handle those also. Plus I can move my JBA CB, Nismo CAI, and DDM HIDs across to the newer Titan if I purchased tat instead.

Anyway please help me out. I am looking at a used FX45 or a slightly used Titan. Oh and I don't want to keep mine as it was seriously abused in it's life before it met me. I bought it strictly to haul supplies and so it has become even more battle scared. I would rather not deal with putting her right (damaged everywhere) and just move along to something I can love and give some attention to.

Me personally I'm a truck person.
I would buy an FX45 for my wife...

That's a tough choice, both vehicles are great but serve different purposes. What does your gut tell you?

If I didn't have things to tow that required a 1/2-ton truck at a minimum I probably would...I don't know. Probably have a 4wd SUV of some sort.

Now, you asked yourself "What if I needed a truck in the future?" so I'll reply with "What about the truck made it useful?" Was it the bed or its ability to tow a lot? If the bed, is that something that could be replaced with a utility trailer (Enclosed or otherwise) that you could tow behind the FX if needed? Might look odd, but you'd have the SUV you wanted and the ability to haul like you used to.

To be completely honest, my CC Titan with the shell on it is as close to an SUV that turns into a truck as you can get. My only complaints are it being a short bed so I can't haul large things in the back with the tailgate up and the fact that it's only a half-ton truck, there are times I wish I had a 3/4 ton diesel. Oh well, that's just me.

Make a list of pros and cons for each, see if any of the cons have solutions outside of what the vehicle has (Such as a trailer for the FX so you can haul stuff) and see which one is more appealing to you. Have you driven both? I'm sure the FX45 is an awesome ride.

Decisions, decisions...

You hit it right on the money. I am going to think about it while looking. The FX I was going to buy was sold before I got there. So it gives me time. I am thinking since I might not need the room to just add a E90 330i instead or something along the lines. I always have access to a truck from friends or family.

The Titan was a great truck. But I have to say I cannot wait to get back into a drivers car again. Although the Titan was a damn good handling truck...it still cannot take those corners like I am used to.

if your considering a 330i How about a used g35 or new g37 they are tuff to beat and should cost less$$$$$ than the BMW. get the S model with the Brembo's and 6spd even on track days should give the 330 a run for it's money. without the brake upgrade though nothings gonna touch the Ultimate driving machine on your local road course the Germans do brakes better than anybody.
