alternative to 2004 WRANGLER RUBICON?

what's alternative to the invoice $25,000 2004 WRANGLER RUBICON (with dual axle locking differential: "Dana 44 Tru-Lok F&R" -- electronically activated, Tru-Lok pneumatic locking front and rear differentials with a rear helical-gear limited slip unit)?
now that we have the cool Titan, wife also wants a short-bed & short wheel base 4x4 or awd suv with high visibility.
Our old car, '86 Nissan 720 4x4 with 234,000 miles, is on it's "last legs" so we'll let the city take it for $500.
