Just curious what everyone makes a year. Sorry to be personal & if it seems like a stupid post but, I'm curious. Currently in the Air Force as an E-4 with 3 years of service & gross about $23g's a year. My net is umm below that. heheh
I really don't think asking "how much do you make" is a legit question because for one thing you will never know if the answer you get is legit. Also, the flip side of that question "how much do you spend" is every bit as important. I assume you are asking the question to see if you are able to afford a Titan. There are so many factors involved in that question that it would be almost impossible for anyone to make that decision for you. Does your wife work? Do you have other car notes? Do you have a high house note? Do you go on nice vacations? Do you have any savings? Do you have a rich uncle? All of these questions are relevant. I would suggest that you put down as much as possible to keep your notes at least below $500.00 a month. I'm sure there are sites on the web that have formulas to tell you what you should spend on a vehicle relative to your income and expenses. If you have discretionary spending you may want to see if you can cut some expenses to make room for a Titan note. If all of this doesn't work you may want to wait until next year and change your user name to: considering(aused)titan.

I feel for you being an E-4. I just retired from the Navy as a Chief.
Unfortunately, as a military guy growing up and 2 divorces while in it seemed I never had money. A lucky break with acquisition and sale of our condo a year later and being married to a woman that works 'with' me instead of against me has made a huge change.
Now, we live much better and 'have a plan' and do things the smarter way now with money management.
Yes we save for retirement (TSP and her 401k), we have a house and payment comensurate to our income and have one 'Nice' car payment and our other two cars were bought for cash.
Other credit accounts are less than 3 in total period with one being for additions to our home.
Best thing you can do is live 'within' your means. Once you get into a hole, its very hard and painful working your way out.
Thanks for the replies guys. Well I'm not married but, my downfall is I'm leaving active duty soon to go back to school & get my degree related to the IT field possibly. I've spent four years as an Admin in the USAF & I figure I would like to make a change since this my second job in my entire life. Sorry to disappoint anyone who may look down on me for this choice but, I see more money later on down the road & being single I don't have things like a wife & kids to worry about which is nice I must say. Have fun while you're single all you single guys. Anyways, I try not to spend too much. My big downfall is a spent a lot to pay down on this Ram I got which has been nothing but, a mechanical nightmare & concerns me with what might happen after my 3 year bumper to bumper warranty is up. But, I may get rid of this thing especially if gas goes to $2 a gallon & I guess buy a Nissan or Toyota truck with a 4 cyl & manual tranny.
Currently im a poor student living off of my savings from when I was working
but soon I will be making a nice salary as soon as school is over in August.

Usually that question would come with a lecture about how its not appropriate
to ask. But sense im a college student i dont really care, the majority of college students (including me) are broke anyway. I work at a gym making 8.50/hr. It keeps me alive.

Holy Crap...23G's thats more about 10G's than me....all these people who want to buy Titans at or below invoice....Sheesh
How can a poor dealer make any money these days...????
And to answer your question...NISSAN thinks the average Titan owner will have a household income of $70,000 or more.
As an E-3 in the Air Force, I bought a new Jeep Wrangler for $15k. I paid for it ok but was pretty strapped to spend it on anything else. I sold the Jeep 8 months later and got something cheaper. Also, I was an aircrew member receiving plenty of extra money in terms of flight pay, BAS, and per diem. I still couldnt really afford a $15k Jeep and live comfortably.
My advice if you are going back to college soon:
Save Save Save. There are ALOT of costs you are not realizing here in civvy street. I got out to go to college and it took me 6 years to get a 4 year degree because I had to keep going back to work to get money to pay for it. Granted I got greedy and went to an Ivy league school for 70 of my credits, but still.
Save your money. Get a car that is going to last you through college. Get college over quick and get a job that can pay for your Titan
I agree with 70Boss. I will not divulge our income, but it is well over 70K now. We would not have dreamed of purchasing such an expensive vehicle before I got out of college and got a good job.
I hope this helps you.

i think that's why we see so many worried about payments/leasing. That's the way people get nice vehicles when they are worth more than their yearly salary.
When I was in hs, I worked my butt off to buy a chevy spectrum. No way could I afford a honda civic and put thousands of bucks of fart accessories on it. And my folks didn't have the $$ to help out that much.
But it paid off.. Lets just say now I don't worry.
But I promise this, I'm not leaving a dime for my kids (if we have any!) they'll be delivering papers in blizzards until they can get a real job, just like I did!
yep, its nice not having to make monthly payments paying big mulah in interist.
