Any Linux users here??

Yes, this Hemi owner is a linux user. I run Mandrake linux 9.2. I was wondering if there are any Titan owners that run linux? If you do, are you a beginner, or experience linux/unix user. I am what you would call a beginner i guess. I been using it for over 4yrs, but only as a home PC. I am pretty good at command line, but still not using the true power of linux that is available. I also am getting spoiled with the GUI's available. Gnome, Kde, is great. I been using Blackbox just so i can refresh my command line knowledge. I am thinking about going too another distro. Gentoo maybe. I still got my windows drive, but i do very little except games with it. Anyways, i was just wondering if anyone else uses it on here. If you dont even know what it is, feel free too ask. If you did use it, and dont like it feel free too post your critisizm. Its like the opinions on titans, and hemi's. we like what we like. The rivalry is in trucks like computers. Linux vs Windows is a huge rivalry also. Its great.. I love rivalry's.. There's never a loser, cause everyone likes there truck no matter what, just like there OS..

Budman,

Linux user here... altho, I do not yet own a Titan, I would like one

I started on slackware back when it was really the only distribution around. I used it up until about a year ago when I started using gentoo. I have about a 50/50 mix of Gentoo/Slackware boxes now.

Titantalk.com was running an apache server on Slack and Mysql server on Gentoo -- Altho, with the recent move, we now run it on a freeBSD box.

I was into linux back in the mid-90's, I'm talking the 1.2.13 kernel is where I started. These days however, it's five or so windoze on my home lan. I just want ease of use and I have to say XP is fairly stable too.

I did the slackware 3.0 install although I always lked the RH better....can't remember what it was, 1.x think. Remember when you had to write a ping script to keep your dial up connected? Or when 2400 baud was big time?
