Well, nothing like taking over radio by making profitable stations pay for the unprofitable ones.

Personally I don't listen to talk radio including Beck, Rush or Hannity and when I used to listen to it, I listened to NPR or Howard Stern but if there is one thing I hate, it is the government controlling what people do or what is available for them see or hear via some effort to provide "greater choice" and making someone else pay for it to boot.

If people wanted that stuff it would already be on the radio, television or elsewhere and the liberals and Progressives would still have Air America or other similar broadcasts and their cable news ratings wouldn't be tanking either so BACK OFF you Radio wave controlling Communist bastards and shove your radio Czar up your Bum Obama.

I got this in an e-mail yesterday. Sad and sorry is about all I can say on this forum. Not that I listen to any talk radio, or much radio at all, but more govt control is not necessary.

Yeah this whole deal is like a bad episode of the Twilite Zone to me because I watch guys like Bill Maher and last night he was ranting about Obama eating cheeseburgers and playing golf, claiming it was so Obama could fit in with or make the white folk Conservatives more comfortable and that cheeseburgers and golf were two of the worst things ever for the environment so Obama shouldn't partake or promote them and should lead by example instead.

WTF? Maher also sighted that the military has contingency plans to secure the U.S. in case global warming turns ugly and is somehow claiming that is proof things are really bad environmentally. Things could definitely be better on the Green Front to be sure but come on Maher, surely you are smart enough to know that they likely keep a "what if Sweden teams up with Canada and attacks the U.S.?" contingency plan in the file right next to it.

I never though that Constitutional Conservatives would become the new center but you have the far left like Maher touting global warming as the biggest threat we face during the Obama Administration and claiming the right is using the threat of Socialism from the left as a scare tactic and that a global warming flood is more disconcerting. Then you have the guys on the far right claiming Obama is the Anti Christ and wanting a good Christian like Bush back in the WH and the only sane people are the ones who have had enough of both Parties and are ready to consider even Anarchy as a viable and desirable alternative to the Corporate rule we are stuck with now.

WTF people, some folks just want to maintain their individual rights and choose their own destiny without governmental interference at every turn and are unwilling to tolerate some Corporation or bankster robbing them blind all the time and neither Party is addressing that properly so a guy standing outside a Health Scare debate and sporting a firearm and a Thomas Jefferson sign that promotes Refreshing the tree of Liberty with some blood becomes the only sane one in the group???

Wake up Democrats and Republicans because when a guy like me who has ignored politics most of his life, never kept a gun in his house until a few years back, is not a Christian or a racist, and couldn't care less about Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity finds that I have more in common with the guy standing outside a church and sporting a sidearm at the Health care Town Hall meeting than anyone from with either Popular Party, we have a HUGE problem here.

Do guys like Olberman, Hannity, Maddow, Limbaugh and Maher really represent 50 or 60% of the country or do people gravitate around them because they have no place else to go that they believe addresses their concerns? Are people really that loyal to their Parties or do they just vote that way because that's what their parents did and since when did a Rodeo Clown like Glenn Beck become one of the only people on TV willing to set the dogs loose on these azzholes on the Hill? Are these talking heads really the best that either side can offer the folks who just want to be left alone by the government and have them do their job without turning the country Socialist or robbing us blind?

Wake the F*CK up people, our country is in deep shiite and one of the best things the leader of the free world can think to do is hire an FCC Czar to promote more far left Propaganda to combat the far right Propaganda and believes that will somehow make things better or serve to unite the country in the long run????
