Actually the story is passed down from father to son about 37L1. I could go into a long story about how he braved the traffic and searing temperatures from the bay area to attend our picnics, and how he almost held his own with rassling with Dawgs oldest son, but those are beside the point. What 37L1 is really known for is taking the mask off the Lone Ranger.
Yep, it was years ago, and the Lone Ranger was not having a good day, because he found out earlier in the day that Silver wasn't really a stallion, but a mare, and she was pregnant. Then when he was surrounded by armed gunmen and vastly outnumbered he turned to his trusty companion and said "Well at least we have a fighting chance Tonto", whereupon Tonto replied "What you mean we Kemosabbi"?, and slipped away. Then after a terrific gunfight lasting hours and hours, the Lone Ranger finally took time to lay down and try to get some rest, whereupon 37L1 snuck up behind a tree and slowly slipped closer and closer until he suddenly reached out and snatched off the Lone Rangers mask!!
Rumor has it that the Lone Ranger was really Dawgs, but 37L1 would never share his secret, even after three Brats, lots of Salsa and 3 or 4 Bud Lights.
So, that's the real story behind 37L1. Oh ya, and he has a nice truck too.
Count me as a maybe. I started a new job and I'm currently in Israel about to start my 5th and final week of training. I have a million things to do when I get home and the new job will require the occasional Saturday.
BTW, the only full size trucks I see here are F-350s and GMC 3500s. I miss home, my Titan and mostly my wife IYKWIM.
Sounds good loosenut, I'll put you down for a maybe. Let's keep this thing going, I'd love to see as many folks attend as possible. I've contacted a few site sponsors and I'd guess they wanna see a high turnout in exchange for their support so they're holding back for a bit. Elk Grove Nissan was the only sponsor to jump right in with no questions asked. Kudos to them. I'll have a flier out by next week to help boost attendance. It'll be posted here for anyone that would like to pass them out.
P.S. Where's Dawgs? I figured with the Bud Light and salsa he'd be chomping at the bit.

Well Dawgs might be spending his time getting ready to head back to Sacrameno Raceway, or maybe he lost a stoplight contest to a Hemi, or a Ford F-150 towing a camping tailor. Come on Dawgs, speak up. Remember, this picnic will have salsa and Bud Light !!
I'm still waiting to see if my wife can get the day off as soon as I know I will let you guys know, if we do make it my wife will make Potato salad and maybe something else hope to see everyone again

Bill, we'll hope that things work out and that you can make it. I'm sure everyone would enjoy seeing some of your mods, and you and your wife are always a good addition to our picnics.
Looks like ther attendance is slowly climbing. I can't wait to meet everyone. This will be my first picnic and I've heard great things about these events.

Where are you going to race? I didn't think Dawg racing was legal in California. If you want to go back and visit 37L1 I think Dawg racing is legal back there. Hummmm, wonder what kind of pit crew work is required in Dawg racing? Grooming, poop patrol, handing out puppy treats to groupies?? Wow, the imagination runs wild.
Hey Dawg, are you going to come to the picnic? You better or I'm going to tell 37L1 on you. And if you're not there you won't get any home made Salsa!!
