Roll Call - Georgia

Okay slackers, most every other southeastern state has a thread going, so let's show 'em who gonna rule this board.

Just kidding, not really trying to start anything. But I've seen a lot of posts from us Georgians, so let's introduce ourselves. It will interesting to see how many are from the ATL metro area compared to the rest of the state.

I'll start... My name is Travis and I'm a Titan-aholic. I've been addicted for 9 months now. I'm in Douglasville, west side of Atlanta. I'm going stir crazy as it's finally starting to get warm enough to get out on my bikes (bicycles that is, road or mountain, either one) and on my boat at Lake Allatoona. If anyone is out there with similar interests, it would be cool to meet up.

Who's next?

I'm Justin - a UGA alum (go dawgs, Travis). I'm living in Chamblee inside the perimeter off Peachtree Industrial Rd. I like to spend my mornings beating the impossible lights on Ashford Dunwoody at 285 (crossing over 285) which requires a nice 0-50 in about 6 seconds or so to beat the light. Gotta love ATL traffic.

Nothing like good GA weather to tease you with 60s and then hit you with 30s. I used to do *some* mountain biking but haven't done it in awhile now. Where do you go mtn biking?

Oh yeah, I forgot that my avatar would get some comments from all the dawgs around here. '97 grad from Tech myself.

Biking - tons of trails up in the mountains, but it gets old having to drive up there all the time. I might be heading to Berry College up in Rome this weekend, which has some decent trails. I'm beginning to switch over to road riding more just for the convenience of getting out and riding anywhere instead of making the drive to the mountains.

Steve here. Live in East Snob and work downtown. Usually commuting on 75 between 9:30am and 10am and heading home sometime after 7pm. Like missing all the traffic. If you see a Silver Titan hauling a 6x12 enclosed trailer or without the trailer, but a WERA sticker in the back window that's me.

ps. oh yeah, went to Miss. State

Besides our regular jobs, my wife and I have started our own company and we are building a car wash in Marietta off Austell Rd. near Windy Hill.

If you're ever in the area feel free to stop by.

Well I'm not in Goergia, (born in Ala.) I'm traveling to Kathleen (Macon) next week (bringin' mtb) have you rode any of the trails in Macon? If so how are they.
Thanks

I haven't ridden there personally, but you may want to look into Dausett Trails. It's north of Macon, maybe 30-45 minutes. It's the only thing that I've heard of in middle GA for trails so it must be good if people from Atlanta are making the trip there.

Oops, just looked it up and saw that Kathleen is a good bit south of Macon, so that might be longer drive than you want. I also have this link with some trails that I've been meaning to try out but haven't gotten around to. Some seem to be closer to Macon than Dausett.

Have fun
