Louisiana Titans and Dealership Experiences

Since everybody else seems to have a thread already, let's get one going for all of us Louisiana Titan owners. Please post where you are located, the dealership where purchased and location, any dealerships where you have gone for service and experiences there. We could all learn some valuable information here.

Bought: Leblanc Nissan
Location: Gonzales (Baton Rouge), LA
Experience: Probably not the best place for negotiating, but they do have the largest selection in the area....at least they did at the time. Pushy about the Nissan survey (Don't let that bother you, just tell the truth. Overall, pretty good. I did get my 04 KC SE for almost exactly the same price as they were willing to sell me any of the comparable (besides the usual upgrades) XEs on their lot.

Service: Leblanc Nissan
Location: Gonzales (Baton Rouge), LA
Type of Service: Oil Change
Experience: I'd rate them FAIR for the one oil change I had performed there. Their work was fine but it took over an hour for an oil change and they weren't busy. They use Mobil oil.

Service: All Star Nissan
Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Type of Service: Oil Change
Experience: Overall, I'd say GOOD. Their people were extremely friendly and much faster than the service dept. at Leblanc. I was, however, concerned that they use dino Valvoline 10w30 for Titan oil changes. I've never been a fan of Valvoline and probably won't go back there for that very reason. Just a personal preference though.

I look forward to hearing from fellow Louisiana Titan owners.

Louisiana Titans and Dealership Experiences

Bought (Hers): All-Star Nissan, Baton Rouge
All-Star was a pleasure to deal with; low pressure, good selection, prompt sale. I'd reccomend it to anyone, although we've not been since we've moved.

Bought (His): LeBlanc Nissan, Houma
Fantastic experience; good selection, negotiable on prices, even did a good job installing the tow reciever. Larry LeBlanc was a very good salesman. I'd highly reccomend them to everyone - I drove 180 miles each way to buy from them!

Service: All Star Nissan, Baton Rouge
Again a good experience. Knowledgeable, prompt, and competent service department. If I remember, the wait could get a little long if you didn't have an appointment.

Service: Lake Charles Nissan
The service department is fantastic, a stark contrast to the sales department (the reason I drove so far to buy the Titan). They've done routine maintenance & recalls on both vehicles, as well as repairing the damage to my wife's Altima. I haven't even caught any guff about not buying from them.

Bought:
Premier Nissan of Metairie. Friend was a salesman, so I got it at invoice.
Service:
Premier Nissan of Metairie
No problems so far. I know the owner is a no good son of a b!+@#, but his service department is terrific. The reason I say that about the owner of the dealership, is b/c he made a public appearance and a TV appearance claiming to donate $10,000 to an injured police officer. However, when the cameras were turned off, he claimed he couldn't pay the money.

Bought:
ORR Nissan in Bossier City Louisana. Sales people were real nice. I was a returning customer for the sales person I bought my truck from so I got a pretty good deal.

Service:
The service department was ok. They seemed pretty knowledgeable but at times you can tell that they would try and B.S. you depending on the type of problem you were coming in with.

Service: Leblanc Nissan
Location: Gonzales (Baton Rouge), LA
Type of Service: Oil Change(3rd) & Crooked Body Side Moulding on rear passenger door
Experience: Much better than my previous visit. In and out in under 30 minutes. Gave me no problems with the moulding issue. They ordered another piece and will paint it before calling me. No charge of course. Plus, I forgot the card for the discounted oil change and they gave it to me for that price anyway. I looked around at Titans on the lot while I was there. They didn't have any 04's left but had probably 40 or so 05's. Very nice selection if you're in the Baton Rouge/Gonzales area.

Bought: Pete Mankins in Texarkana, TX
Great dealership and great salesman. I purchased from out of town because I was one of the first persons in the Shreveport area to buy a Titan and the local dealerships only had 3 or 4 Titans each to choose from. I wanted a silver CC and saw on the internet one was going to be delivered to Pete Mankins.

They let me take it home on the promise that I would send them $30,000 later.

Type of Service: Follow up to install moulding piece and check brakes. After asking 2 different people on the phone before driving 10-15 miles out to the dealership, I arrived to find out that the moulding piece wasn't pained yet as they had assured me both times. They did check my brakes and were amazed they were still going after 10.5K miles. They said I definitely need a brake job. They are supposed to perform both the moulding install and the brake job on Tuesday May 17th and I will follow up then. At least this dealer is very nice about everything. We'll see what kind of quality work they do next week.
