Thumbs up Fuel economy

I just bought a Nissan Titan king cab 4x2 a week ago. I love it but since I drive a lot I was wondering if someone can give me any suggestions on what parts/accessories to install for getting better gas mileage.

No offense, but it's a full size pickup with a 5.6 V8. You should've gotten a V6 Frontier if you're worried about gas mileage.

Some have claimed that the front bumper spoiler off the Armada has helped with gas mileage.
A tonneau (sp) cover helps.
One of the best things you can do is maintain proper tire pressures. You'd be suprised how much of a difference it makes.

Maybe someone else can chime in and not be an *** like me

I go with 34 PSI cold, I don't know what the perfect number is, but 34 works for me.

Tire pressure-get off gas early-stay off brakes

Tire pressure is free-and there is zero controversy in respect to low pressure decreasing mpg-34-35psi about right-some go much higher-42 psi-.
The Toneau cover can help a tiny bit on the hy.
Driving technique is the most important mpg enhancer.
Get off the gas early-anticipate stops waaay early-stay off the brakes,if you are using them a lot, them you are staying on the gas too long.
Drive at 60-65 on the interstate. The Titan-no BT OR will give very close to 20 mpg hy at 60-65.Stay in the right lane!!
Use CC- except when you come to a hill-DC the CC and slowly lose speed going uphill-coast down-add speed to 60-65..
Some folks don't think CAI,exhausts, headers, cat back improve mpg(I don't think they will or should).
Don't waste any money on Tornados-spacers-etc.
Good luck,Charlie

I have a 2004 KC SE, the only mods are the Armada bumper spoiler and the bug shield. My best highway mileage is 18.5 @ 70-75 mph. Can't expect much more from a full sized truck with a powerful V-8.

The dealership has them for around $26. You have to buy the mounting hdwr seperate but a lot of people go to home depot and just buy their own for cheaper. Hope I helped!

Stay out of the city and stay on the highway, Shadow the semi in front of you. If you can when you drive behind the car hauler try to get on the back of it then shut your engine off till its time to get off then just put it in reverse and back off real slow. That should save you a buck or two. Good luck with the car hauler thing, Ive never tried it but it sounds good
