Question MTB Trails In LA

Hey Bayou Titan,

I tried to reply to your PM but it says that your maxed out on messages. Anyways, I wanted to ask you since you ride if there are any good MTB trails to ride around here locally?

Oops! Sorry, even moderators fail to do their own housekeeping sometimes.

The link below is to a mountain bike trail in Ruston that I have not been on but other people say is fantastic.

This link is to the mountain bike trail at Lake Bistineau State Park. I haven't been on it in a couple of years so I don't its condition.

By far my favorite trail is the Charleton trail that is located just west of Hot Springs, Arkansas. This trail is perfect- there is a park/camping ground on each end of the trail. I always start at the Crystal campground on Lake Ouchita. There are some incredible vistas, downhills, and technical areas. About halfway through the trail there is a spring comes out of a pipe on the side of a mountain where you can refill your water bottle. At the end of the trail is another park with a swimming pool that was made by damming up a small stream. It is fun to cool off and relax in the water after the ride. If you choose you can ride the trail again in reverse ( a totally different experience of course) or ride back to your car on the road.
