Interested in a meet in Raleigh in August?

Okay folks,

AFTER we enjoy a rousing meet up in New Jersey, I was thinking of gauging interest in a meet in Raleigh, NC here:

http://www.wakegov.com/parks/harrislake/default.htm

Plenty of parking, just South of the city, nice quiet scenery, easy access to hotels and to nightlife.

I was thinking end of July/first of August but wanted to ask the group. I'll organize!

Sing out!

Count me in. Sounds like a great idea. Lake Crabtree is another option easy to get to right off of I40 near the airport.

That was my original option and still may consider it. Parking can be an issue but it is fairly close to hotels and eateries (Brier Creek)...versus Crossroads at Lake Harris...

Good idea-I'll hunt you local Titans down for the final call as we get nearer-how's that?

Just went past Lake Crabtree and as I thought, parking is limited for the shelters. If we have over 30 trucks, we'd be pressed to find spaces.

Granted, it is easier to get off I-40 so as we start planning, let's talk about whether or not this or Harris Lake is the best option...

I can't commit right now, but I'd like to consider this as a vaction option if I can talk my wife into it. We're in MD, my inlaws are in Shallotte NC, just south of Wilmington. This would be a nice detour, day with just the wife and kids and a nice cabin. Keep planning, I think you'll have a hit.

Yep, that's a nice location for a vacation.

FYI. Head over to Fort Fisher so you can take your Titan onto the beach-you'll love it.

Re: Interested in a meet in Raleigh in August?

Sounds good to me. I really don't care where. We need to just set a firm date and time that I can schedule around it. Thanks!

Re: Interested in a meet in Raleigh in August?

Would it be a bad idea to do it maybe at like Triangle Town Center or even Streets at Southpoint? I mean those malls have huge parkinglots (unlike crabtree) and plenty of restaurants to eat at.

Just a thought.

SP may not be a bad idea, But I think on the lake and a cookout may be more fun. I'm trying to drag some other members from neighboring states in.
