All truck shoot-out, Memphis TN

Let's Race.
Right now it look slike Memphis, TN in February right now. Just trying to nail down interest. This originated at DTW, then made its way to Performancetrucks.net. We're planning to rent the track, which will be in the neighborhood of $3,000. Quite a few people have already said they'd put up at least $100 toward the rental. Here is what's included... yep, some of you AutoXers can get out there too LOL

ROAD COURSE OR DRAG STRIP– TESTING RENTALS
Eight 8 hours, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

$3,000.00/day Monday through Friday
1 fire truck with 3 fire fighters
1 ambulance with 2 paramedics
$150.00 per hour after eight 8 hour

$3,500.00/day Saturday or Sunday
1 fire truck with 3 fire fighters
1 ambulance with 2 paramedics
$150.00 per hour after eight 8 hour

20% OFF if rented between November and February, $2800 on weekend.

Right now there's about 20 guys from DTW verbally committed to coming out for this (that will likely drop due to unavoidable circumstances) but a good start none-the-less. And not to mention the 5 or so other sites this is posted on. So, if you're interested in doing this (this is not a commitment) start a list.

We're up to about 40 people so far, but no Ford or Nissan guys thus far. Thought I would come over here and extend the welcome to you guys. It should make for a great day at the track for just trucks to race. Just send me a pm if interested, and I'll discuss it more with you guys. Thanks

Re: All truck shoot-out, Memphis TN

Bye bye Slow thanks for your offer but I already know what my truck does with intake exhaust no need to drive all the way to TN to prove it. I can do so right here in Houston. Nice 1/8 mile you but obviously you got more than an intake and exhaust aftermarket. We have..No choices: NO CAMS, NO 3.73 or 4.10, NO TURBO, NO torque convertor, list goes on and on. However TITAN trucks are getting faster and faster as each year progresses on the stock motor. We have only yet to begin to build upon our stock platform which started 3 years ago. So in time domestic modded brother you may get that shout out race but until then go and enjoy your Chevy. Be a domestic heavy modded import hater it's your choice. cya

Re: All truck shoot-out, Memphis TN

I'm no import hater, I'm just trying to get a response from someone(which thank goodness I finally did). If it takes some good old fashion ribbing from someone to get more competition there, then that's what I'll try. It worked quite well with the Hemi boys, so I figured,"Hell, give it a shot...".
In all seriousness though, it is going to be a really good meet. We're already in contact with several truck based magazines, as well as Spike tv's trucks. We're going all out with this one.

Re: All truck shoot-out, Memphis TN

Heck why bother with having to pay anything just have SPIKE promote the event??

Post the details rather than the call out...otherwise you might get more comments from other posters which will be less and less constructive with what your trying to do.

Go check my first post.....It had 20 something views and zero replies. It's obvious the Titan guys aren't interested........that's cool. Sorry I took up any of your time with an invitation to run other brand trucks. Like you said, "Maybe in a few years."

I think you miss understood my comment. There is no time being wasted as long as the thread stays positive. My comment about paying was directed at trying to get SPIKE to pay. If I lived in TN I'd be there even if it did cost me $100.

If I think about this for a few seconds I'll say this we all don't live on the boards every minute. So 20 views is just that clicks on teh first post and frankly after reading the first one I was drawn in but the posts afterwards were what most likely ran them off.

Are you promoting or calling out take your pick?? The current insinuation of quickprocess which is being demanded in this thread does not coincide with your nickname....slowprocess. I don't think the continual jabbing is the way to get an all truck show and tell. It stinks with lack of seriousness. How about the promoting path on an up and up level?

Fair enough....I'll edit my other posts to keep it on the positive note.
