Lightbulb Coming from the EAST: Directions to the Meet in Raleigh, NC

If you'r not familiar with Raleigh, the I-40/I-440/US 1, it can be tricky.

IF you are coming on I 40 EAST, you will see these signs.

Take Exit 293 off I-40. (I40EAST11)

Just as you exit you will see (140EAST22) Sorry about the focus:

Get in the right hand off ramp lane.

Now here's the tricky part:

You have to immediately look to merge in the left lane onto US 1. Traffic from US 1 may be trying to take the off ramp onto Walnut Street. (US1South picture)

Take Hwy US1 South through Cary and Apex. Take the New Hill exit (Exit 89) off Hwy US1. At the top of the ramp, turn left onto New Hill- Holleman Road and go approximately 3 miles and the park entrance will be on your right.

You know, my nav system was just telling me that the other day! Good to know the tricky spots though. Sometimes the nav doesn't instruct you quick enough when something weird has to happen. Thanks Kronos!

After being here since 1994, people who are confused do the "cut across three lanes, go back one lane and then go back again to their first cut across"

A lot of accidents so I want to avoid this!

Glad to help.
