Re: Savannah GA?

The Riverwalk is pretty cool. Since you'll be there a couple days after St. Patrick's Day, everyone will probably be partied out. They have the biggest St. Pat's Day party in the country...actually the world I think, but that sounds too extreme.

Party hardy...sweet! Sure the wife will loooooooove that!

Does anyone know what the cost of living is like there? I've been on apartmentguide.com looking at places, but how does is the insurance and things like food stack up against other places?

Re: Savannah GA?

It's the south so cost of living is not that bad. Should be cheaper than it is over in Tuscon. Hope the job interview works out well for you. I could easily live in Savannah after I retire.

Re: Savannah GA?

I just got back from the St. Patty's Day party, and it never fails to thrill!! You def need to go down to the historic area. Visit River Street, Bay Street and wander down through the streets as well. Hundreds of little shops, pubs, grubs and what not. Great local fare. I love Savannah. When you're on River Street stop in to Hueys or Kevin Baileys both great little bars. Highlight of the trip was eatting at Paula Dean's "Lady and Sons" resturant. It is a must!! WOW thats great food!
