Re: Do Not Read This, and Do Not Come to the Raleigh Meet!!
Oh... I don't know if I want to come now... I don't know if I even want to read this thread...
Well, to keep this on the front page, I'll just edit this dumbass post.....
The way we'd like to handle the giveaways is going to be a bit split.... The larger ticket items will be raffled off via tickets. When you arrive, you will get 10 tickets just for showing up. Additional tickets will be available for 75¢ each. You can buy as many tickets as you want.
Each item will be displayed, or described in a note, next to a big plastic jar. The jars will be labeled. If you want to enter your ticket(s) for that particular item, just drop as many as you want into that jar. You can spread your tickets around to all the jars or concentrate your chances on just one item you really want.
At the end of the day (or even midday), tickets will be drawn and prizes will be distributed.
Items that get no tickets in the jars will be put with the smaller items and raffled off separately. What I was thinking for the smaller items.... after the larger items' winners are selected, ALL the tickets are put in one big pile and the winners of the smaller items can be drawn from that pile. I'm just throwing this out there, as it seems like a good idea. This will be verified with the Meet Planners prior to the meet.
Re: Do Not Read This, and Do Not Come to the Raleigh Meet!!
usually prizes on Sat at the actual meet. We get together for dinner or beer or both on friday night. Oh, and I have the Range lined up, so you gun toting boys can have some fun. that will probably be Friday morning.

Yes-we plan on throwing them out on the highway in a convoy and then people can pick them up...last time we did that, we backed up traffic on the highway for two hours and it took its toll on the trucks-looked like a darn rubbin' is racin' venue at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
OR we typically will have one or two contests and a few raffle drawings.
Blackbeauty ahem ahem is going to post up how he wants us to do the raffles this year. Would you believe HE's the most honest of the bunch so far attending!
