Post your stories from the 2009 NC Meet in Raleigh, NC
Okay, the other side of the 2009 Meet in Raleigh.
Feel free to add in what you remember but I can't stop laughing.
#1. Has to be Deadriver entering a drawing in which he won the stuff he was giving away to raffle off. Apparently, he got excited and put in tickets on a variety of items...
#2. The Monkey Head. Getting my dogs so excited that they finally tore apart their dog toys with the result being a monkey head was the only remaining recognizable feature. (second place was the purple/pink dinosaur)
Will any of those pictures make it out of the Premium Section?
#3. Firewalker's streak of luck. He won just about everything!
#4. Take a group picture or put out the fire? While we were all getting our pictures taken for a group photo as the women looked on, a fire broke out in the charcoal at the cook out.
#5. The gun range. If nothing else, I recommend taking home a copy of the test. (The answers are pretty well identified as to what you are supposed to say.) I'll leave it to others to post up their impressions of the shooters and the toys they shot!

The gun range is a must have for next year also! Everyone who was nice enough to let myself and others shot their personal weapons, along with their ammo I would like to thank! That was realy some good clean fun for us gun lovers! The 500 gets my vote for best in show!Followed by those super acurate 40 cal's.I'll try to bring a few surprises from my collection next year.Cleaning mine up tomorrow before locking them back in the safe. Would like to shoot some clay birds next year if that is any way possible.I know Ft.Bragg has a skeet and trap range thats open to puplic also a state of the art facility. Not sure what gun clubs are closer to Raleigh that offer skeet and trap?

Ok... The DeadRiver winning his own step boards was the gut bust of the weekend... at least of the "family oriented" stuff that we have stories about...
There's always the good one about the hooker who showed up at Steeleyedone's hotel room door at 2:30 in the morning... I'm sure he's still working that out with his wife (who was asleep in the room, BTW...)
There are several "NAV Misinterpretations" that led to multiple U-turns, driveway turnarounds, and just plain hot-street floor it and spin it 180°....
Anyone remember the Huddle House from last year's Raleigh meet? Well this year... it was Waffle House....
There was the hotel room laptop TT posting by various members signed in as various other members.... Now THAT was pretty funny.... but you really had to be there to appreciate it....
Tequila.... Jagermeister..... XXX..... Bourbon..... and a myriad of other assorted refreshments all made for some interesting... well, let's just say no one got arrested.

It was a pleasure meeting you guys and seeing the old faces again. I had a wonderful time and this entire weekend was well planned and organized.
DeadRiver's raffle thing was funny as heck. Firewalker had all the luck with the raffle..
There a many stories and memories that I'll remember from this weekend. Thanks to everyone who attended the Detail Clinic and came out for a fun weekend.
My highlight of the trip had to be the gun range and shooting that .500 cal Magnum as well as many other guns. WOW is all I can say.
Oh yea.. next year if I make it I gotta find the strongest bug spray there is

We'll have a costume party next year. You can dress up as a citronella candle.
It was very nice to meet some new people and see some familiar faces again. The trip to the gun range was insane. Having that many loose cannons around a bunch of guns and ammo is never a good idea, but we made it out alive. Firing the S&W .500 was un'friggin'believable!
This meet has been on my vacation schedule for a couple years now and it will remain that way. Is it 2010 yet?

I don't remember much
Yeah, I think some one took the AEM cleaning kit raffle and dumped it in with my steps! That's just my luck! I hope whomever won the steps will give them a good home and use them well!
I'd like to add the wall art at the Mongolian place was top notch. There is nothing more appealing during dinner then a plump Mongolian rump in your face!
