Well if you want new gears and TT, and you are way out of warranty anyway, why not just have Hoopers rebuild the whole thing? I'd trust a specialty shop over those knucklheads at a dealership anyday.

Yeah I think that's what I would do. My other thought was just to get a complete new rear-end. Another member here had a post about getting a new dana 60 and gears and locker installed for something like $2100. I was wondering if that would be the best route for the money?

if you can get that all for 2100 i say f**k yeah GO for it!!! much better, much stronger!!! at this point i'm just going the same route as CL82wd... gears, trutrac, sleeved and trussed. some day down the road i'm wanting to do mine up like titan007 and get a currie 9 and build it up, then sell my rear end to help pay for it.

Are you planning on running the PRG kit indefinitely or are you gonna upgrade to Camburg or one of the high end kits eventually?

the PRG kit is definitely staying! anything more i'd knead to take out a second mortgage out to build her like one of those 1/4 to 3/4s of a million dollar prerunners. i am realizing my limits... just wanna have a decent bungrunner that is fun to bung around the dezert in at a decent speed with decent amount of travel to prevent some major destruction. unless i get a wild hair up mee arse to have it 4-linked from my friend's cousin who builds trophy trucks and would build it for almost just the cost of the materials and beer.

hoopers tomorrow morning!!!!

wow! love it! starting to think i should have just gone with 3.73s instead. so used to cruising with 2.94s. now with the 4.11s i keep thinking i'm driving in 4th gear and that its not engaging into 5th. the 500 or so more rpms i'm driving at is a tad bit high but oh well... we'll see how it is once she's broken in. the trutrac you can feel engage on turns... i love it! love knowing its in there and ready for automatic engagement!!

You made a big leap....but just give it time, and soon it will feel natural. Kind of nice to crowd the throttle up a hill/grade and not have the trans "run" for 4th or 3rd gear...

HAHAHAHAHA!!!! lmAO!!! we'll see who's snivelin' when i nerf your bumper and knock you off the trail beeeeeeyotch!!!! ya, Lou is right... big jump and i'm soooo not used to it but damn... it is sooooo nice to scream up grades and hills and the tranny not want to jump down to 3rd. it pulls strong in 5th and even better in 4th when the grade or hill is steeper. plus i've been babying it till i get to at least 200 miles and once i do i'll slowly start hammering it.

Bech!!! 4.88s?!?!?!?!? you planning on 39" BAjaS??? wtf??? you're lucky you don't have a long commute to work or you'd be thinking twice about the 4.88s... no way i could do my long work commute with 4.56s!!!!
