so you're gonna have the ncd upper and lowers with a cst spindle? and do you know if the giant spring under affects payload or towing?
yes lol.. its gonna be a very.. um how can I say it.... "different" set up
and I am not too sure if it does... it might a little because the weight would be on top and the springs would be on bottom and it would push the u bolts down on the axle and might harm it... idk... maybe im crazy...

as long as it works, what kind of travel are you estimating with that setup? and i'm sure the payload will be affected, i'm just not sure how much. as for towing, i think that should be the same.

im hoping to be around the 17-19" range... I had 17 1/2 with the stock spindle... so idk....and yeah it might be... are you thinking of dropping the 2k on it?.. if so.. im on the same boat with ya...I just have to sell my front diff and then decide do I want spring under or cst spindles... I think im gonna just to the spring under but if I do I also have to sell my bypasses asap

It's something i'm looking into, but I won't be ready to get it for around 6 months. I'm just trying to focus on the front for now and when i get some more money, i'll be weighing options for the rear. Is a spring under better than a bed cage though?

the spring under is completely differnt then a bed cage.... the bed cage is there so hold the bigger longer bypasses that you put in when you have a big travel set up... It lets you use the springs to their full potential.... like if i can get enough cash to do the spring under I wont have a bed cage so instead of being able to get 21" of travel ill be at like 13" or something like that because my shocks wont be long enough to get the full travel...

Yeah, i know what both do, just wasn't sure if one was better than the other. Seems like if you had both it would be a killer setup. The only reason i'm leaning towards the spring under is so i can keep my bed since i do use it a lot. Got a quad i like to throw in there. No point in towing my 6x12 dual axle trailer for that one quad.

thats true, but.... you have have your bed cage made so it takes up almost no bed space... pic is attached... and that is pete's truck

The quad takes up the whole bed and i can't even close the tail gate, but maybe i could ride the 2 front wheels up onto the cage. I might have to look into that...
I'm here, I'm just watching in the background lol Well if I had to to it again, I would go with the Burg kit. When I wanted to go LT, Greg Suggested the CST over the NCD for my needs. His kit and burg were not out yet. I love the way my kit works. The only thing i wish it came with, was heimed uca. There was a point when I was going to get rid of the cst kit and go with the PRG stuff, as it can take most of the same hits mine did... But Greg said not to do it the way I drive lol. I have a real heavy foot and plow down everyting I can
Same goes for the spring under... There was only the Deaver 4" race pack out when my truck was built. DMZ had to relocate the rear shackle hanger and make a new shackle and remove and add some springs to get the spring to work okay. It's still not the way I want it but it works well lol.
I'm coming into a huge chunk of change, almost 9K of back owed SDI that I forgot about. It's from an appeal I had filed 6 months ago.... I got a letter today stating I won the case and will be getting my $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ soon hope its not a mistake
So I'm going to see if I can get that Giant Spring under setup before XMass time... Well thats if I don't spend the cash on something else
Oh' yeah, I ride an LTR-450 quad and it fits just fine in the back with the cage. When I had my Banshee and no cage, I still had to leave the tailgate down. So when I had the cage made, I had it made so that the front tires rest on top of the cage and tailgate can be closed... with room for all my gear and junk that I take. The only time I take a trailer, is when I know I'm going to take the truck out for some fun.

That's good to know about the CST kit. I wish I had 9k coming to me but i've only got about 6k. I wish I could get the Camburg kit, but it's just a little out of my price range right now. I'll be on a 2 month vacation to get my appraisers license and don't want to cut into my savings for a kit. The CST seems to be right in my price range with shocks. And I have a lead foot too and don't know my limits when it comes to some stuff. I need a kit that can handle a lot of abuse.
DMZ fabbed up your bed cage, right? I'll have to go to them when I want to get the rear done and have them make me one on your specs. I ride a Raptor 700 so it's a bit bigger than the LTR450. How much clearance do you have with yours in the bed?
Thanks for the heads up Pete, I may end up talking to Camburg and I'm sure they'll "convince" me to go with theirs
What do you guys think? Is the CST all it's cracked up to be? Or is the PRG better? Not factoring in prices at all, just the quality of the kit and the travel offered.
For the price its hard to beat the PRG kit. I'm really happy with mine. If I had unlimited funds I would definitely go with Camburg though.
yeah, but i was thinking i could spend the extra 1400 on better shocks and maybe towards a giant leaf under. But for the 6k it would cost me for the Camburg kit alone, I'm pretty sure i could get the PRG kit with shocks and hoops installed. Does anyone know how much the PRG kit costs?
If your going to build a bad *** Titan than do it right the 1st time, otherwise its going to cost you way more in the end, trust me I know from experience as do many others. If your only looking to have some fun buy used parts and enjoy your truck.
For the money I think Camburg puts out the best kit and if I was to build the Titan I would put there kit on as I think the truck would be insane with 20 inch's of travel, but Im not.
If you want to beat the hell out of the truck go with the PRG kit,
If you think you are going to moderately beat on the truck than I would suggest the NCD kit that blk04titan is selling. From what I am reading I would think buying blk04titan kit is the best option for you. You will be able to moderately beat on your truck, at the same time you will save some money that you can put towards other parts like the spring under kit and get in the dirt faster and stronger than you are now.
Break down:
Here is my order of kits that will get you the most speed in the dezert:
Camburg *****
PRG ****
CST **
NCD **
There's also the other option of checking out BBR Fabrications in Chino Hills, he's putting out some VERY nice work and is looking for a Titan to build a race kit off of at a VERY low price compared to all the others out there.
Check out his work: ?????Do you want a LONG TRAVEL kit?????

Any shock can be valved by Greg, it can be any shock company out there, just pick a color or price that you like.
This is what people on this site do not understand, EVERY driver is diffrent and there for valving can be diffrent for everyone truck. I can get in a truck that is set up 100% for me and its perfect, but I can have someone else in that exact same truck and they cant control it because its set up for my driving style. This is also true for whenyou add other parts like new rear springs, more weight to the truck ect.
So dont worry about what Greg has on the shelf, he can make adjustments later regardless of what kit you go with, because you can pay him to come out the dezert and set up your truck.
