CST L/T or PRG M/T???

What do you guys think? Is the CST all it's cracked up to be? Or is the PRG better? Not factoring in prices at all, just the quality of the kit and the travel offered.

Re: CST L/T or PRG M/T???

yeah, i was thinking about the Camburg at first, but I'm not sure I want to pay that much for a kit and don't know if I'll ever use it to it's full potential. Plus I don't think the wilwood calipers are included, it looks like the hubs and rotors. I wonder how much more it costs to add the calipers?

Re: CST L/T or PRG M/T???

how much did DMZ charge you for just the engine brace? If i end up getting the CST kit it comes with shock hoops already, so i'd want just the coil buckets cut off and a brace welded in.

idk how much it was for just the brace, i think like 500... but i could be wrong... and i talked to the guys there at camburg and they said it comes with the calipers...

hahah you could but my kit and ill get my shock hoops/brace taken off and you can just have it welded in lol...

also i could sell you mine with coilovers and bypasses(the price you see from the shops doesnt include coilovers or bypasses, and they already have the mounts for it... and it was at 17 1/2" of travel on my truck before they limited with the front cv's....

oh and they dont make the cst kit anymore...

the only one that I have seen for sale new was 7k!!!!!!!

You cant go wrong with the PRG M/T- L/T Kit
Set up properly you can get 17" of useable wheel travel on a 2WD
I have run it on a few Dez trips with no issues.
I am very pleased with the quality and performance.
Also thanks to PRG's custom shock tuning.
The last trip to barstow I was amazed how well the truck handled.

Kartek here by me has a couple of the CST kits in on sale for 4k. And i'm not a big fan of the NCD's, but maybe I'll go down and talk to Camburg since I'll be right by there on Monday when i come pick up the fenders from you.

I've heard nothing but good things about the PRG kit and I'm sure it's a great kit, Greg definitely knows his stuff! But I'm considering alternatives before i spend lots of moola and I haven't heard much about the CST kit's actual performance from someone with it. Or the Camburg for that matter. I know they put out a great kit too, and with the new hubs and brakes, I may think about spending more now and less later...

yeah, but i was thinking i could spend the extra 1400 on better shocks and maybe towards a giant leaf under. But for the 6k it would cost me for the Camburg kit alone, I'm pretty sure i could get the PRG kit with shocks and hoops installed. Does anyone know how much the PRG kit costs?

I originally wanted Fox's all around, but now I'm leaning towards SAW's or Radflo's just because of the valving Greg does to em.

i'll let you know. if i start running out of money, i may need the kings at a discount lol. I think i'll probably get the CST kit with Radflo's all around though. i already have their reservoirs in the rear with the deavers and would probably leave the rear alone for a little while.
