So Cal rain and rain and more rain...

This rain is already ridiculous here. I'm in Orange County which usually averages about 4 to 5 inches of rain at this time of the season and we are already over 18 inches in most places. We're supposed to get another inch overnight. There's a big cut hill above our place and every morning and afternoon during these storms I've been looking it over for possible sliding indicators (I'm a geologist). So far so good, lots of good vegetation along it and drainage is spread over it nicely. Still, my wife is a bit freaked out about it especially since there have been a lot of slides lately due to the heavy rain. Hope it gets dry here soon. The ground seems to be over-saturated wherever you look and storm drains are overflowing. Hope everyone hit by these storms is fairing well.

Not to slight you guys problems with flooding right now, but welcome to our world (down south)!!! All joking aside, hope everyone out there gets through this rain okay.

Ya know, the last two days it's rained pretty good and with flooding and all down here in San Diego I have had to give myself a ton of spare travel time to work. Today the sun is out it's warming up and it was the worst traffic day! Oh well, at least the clay in the soil will help us dry out fairly quick. Hope everyone survived the wet alright.

LOL - Sorta like if a series of small earthquakes hit Texas, then it would be welcome to our world (earthquake country California).

You got that right-- even a small "shake" in Texas would cause most of us rednecks to abandon the state!!
