Arrow So Cal. needs a new meeting place!

Hi all! I think that we need to com up whit a new meeting place! Mabe a dealership or somthing, or mabe a park. I spoke with Greg at Mossy and we thought that a poker run of some sort could be done. I would like to help get somthing going. I just think that to take the family to the Cali. Speedway and get charged $10 a head is a little over board! Well any ideas or comments let me know!

Well, why Socal is relatively close as far as mileage, its not always close with traffic.

We have the same 'issue' if you will with Z Clubs, thats why there are 5 alone in the Socal area.

Now if we want to get a rep from the five areas...then we could all form a club together and rotate meetings through each with a 'BIG' gathering every 6 months.

Edit: more thought...you could select an officer from each of the different groups to attend the other meetings in other areas (different officer every month) to 'get the scoop' and plan events as well.

We do a lot of coordination with our Z Clubs as well kinda in this manner and it works pretty good.

Food for thought.

Chris

A poker run would be nice, but I am stumped as to where in order to have the largest turn-out. Perhaps the desert in the winter/spring (palm springs/Joshua Tree?), coastline in summer (PCH drive?), mountains in fall (Big Bear?). I guess if you're wanting somewhere central then OC or Riverside counties might be good. Otherwise, as Chris posted, maybe having smaller groups (by county?) is the way to go with one big meet every year.

It just seemed that alot of titan owners were willing to goto the cali. speedway (and spend money to get in). I think that to have many clubs would be alot of work but a big group meeting every month or two would be great! I have not seen any "Titan" clubs as of yet. As for the poker run I just thought it would be a great sight to see 50 or so Titans crusing up the coast, Big Bear or where ever.

Agree...Having been on here for a year+ now...I have managed to get one get together in conjunction with my Z Clubs show and it was pretty cool.

Since every Z Club tends to have a monthly meeting place, finding out what thiers is etc would be pretty easy and you just work out an agreement between you and the place.

I am in the Inland Valley, but work in San Diego so I attend my clubs meetings but we have some that also go to the San Diego meetings...we end up doing a lot of things with the San Diego club 'jointly'.

I would love to do a 'run' with the Titans for sure.

I have also extended the invitation for our show coming up in May here in this section...Some people think..oh, a show...but really, being on the 'other side' of a car show is pretty fun! Getting together with like minded folks and comparing mods, looks, taste, etc etc etc and answering Q's from the general public is really interesting.

Anyhow, I digress...I would personally 'volunteer' to start organizing anything we may want to do and will also fill-in as the Inland Valley Area rep if people want (Riverside down to Fallbrook along I-15 and I-215) area. We use a Carros in Murrieta for our meeting spot and I am sure I could arrange the same location for a specific night once a month.

A road trip would be fun, maybe we can stop at a local Dodge dealer for some lunch.
