Roy's La Jolla is awesome! The old lady and I ate there for the first time this past Valentine's Day. We WILL be going back!

You'll have a great time here...
You need to eat at the Strip Club in the Gas Lamp area downtown. I love this place...It's not what you think but that wouldn't be bad either, you also need to be 18 or older to get in. Anyway, it's a GREAT steak a chicken restaurant were you get your entree and cook it yourself on the huge grills through out the restaurant. Great atmosphere and drinks!

If you want Great seafood, There's Jakes in Del Mar over looking the beach or the Blue Point, also in the Gas Lamp area.

A great quick Mexican take out place is Aldeberto's (Spelling could be wrong) in Point Loma. The best Carni Asada and California burritos in San Diego. Santana's isn't to bad either for a quick Mexican meal.

I enjoyed Rockin' Baja Lobster and the bucket of lobster tails. Decent prices and great margaritas too! Here is a link.

definitely Jake's in Del Mar, Roy's in LaJolla ($$$$), Valentina's Restaurant - best ceviche con camarone i've ever had as well as Pollo asado tacos in Escondido, Peterson's donut shop in Escondido as well...
Most importantly you've got to make the drive out to beautiful, quiet and quaint Julian, Ca for their APPLE PIE just northeast of san diego.
George's at the Cove also...
