I am. I grew up in El Cajon!! Just bought the coolest Pads hat I have ever bought. I hope Dave Roberts stays out, because Nady is on fire. I'm still worried about our pitching, and I wish they would have moved the fences up!!!

Padres fan here!!! Not really and chargers fan though.

Tough weekend, tie for third in the standings but really early in the season. Let's see what happens with the Cubs today.

Ever since the Chargers drafted my boy Igor for the D line, I'm a fan. Well, they had Fouts too.

Air Correyel, baby!!! (Can't remember how to spell his name).

Back in the day, I was HUGE Chargers' fan!! Fouts, Muncie, Joiner, Winslow, Jefferson-they were awesome!!!

But Padres, no way, I'm a Cards fan, thru and thru!!

They'll be back in the Series this year, but hopefully with a different outcome...

Nola, where'd ya get the hat? i need to get a new one, my puppy chewed my favorite pads hat, so i'm stuck wearing my pads visor!!! there is some real cool ones in the online shop on padres.com... they've got some cool new ones. i totally agree!!! i like Roberts in our lineup but X is EN FUEGO and it seems like i don't think he's going to regress. he seems like he's finally figured it out. good to have roberts though, to spell either Klesko or Nady...

the fences, yeah i too agree!! they should have moved the fences in like a foot or two, but i think mentally just knowing they were moved in a bit would've helped the ballclub, but oh well!!! nevin and klesko did hit some deep bombs to the furthest parts in the ballpark this past series with the bucs. now we just need to weather the cubbies strong pitching staff!!!

I grew up in El Cajon too!!! Most of my immediate family still live in El Cajon and Santee. I am still a Padres fan but have yet to go to a game at Petco - plan to go this year. I just hope the Giles, Nevin, and Klesko line-up can reach their potential this season. Be nice to have all three with over 100 RBIs.

coach, Igor's a beast - he should have an even better year this time around. he was a rookie starting, that says a lot!!! strongest man at the combine last year. plus how can you not like a guy named IGOR?

caltitan, you've got to get tickets down on the field around the dugouts, padre's dugout if possible. the game is so amazing from those seats!!! sat behind the padres dugout a row up and just couldn't believe it. you can get those tickets at padres.com then go to ticket marketplace. it's kinda like an ebay for padre tickets... they've improved Petco from last year too, better hot dogs. yeah that's important to me, last year they had boiled hotdogs, ewww, this year they're grilled!!!!

What I love about him is he's a friggin psych in the weight room, doesn't believe in 'roids, and he was brought up by a hard working, blue collar, devoted family. I think that guy is a keeper, he's one of those that makes you feel good about sports.

Prometheus and cal titan,

Here is a cool hat link: http://shop.mlb.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1829347
It is pricey, but worth it. I went to Valhalla High school and graduated in 1988. I live in Louisiana for now. I miss Ca. dearly. Where did you guys go to high school??

I'm all for hot dogs while watching baseball, just don't like paying a lot for them, but sometimes you have to fork over the dough to add ambiance to the experience. Two of my brothers share a season ticket package - not field level but great seats at 3rd base. They offered tix for us to use last year but we could never find the time to go. I am looking forward to seeing a game there.

I went to Grossmont in La Mesa (Class of '85). Fortunately, I still live in So Cal. Thanks for the hat link. I only wear the wool player fitted caps and mine is the old dark blue with the orange/white SD insignia - time to upgrade.

I sat right behind first base last year on the field. Those seats are pretty cool. You sit a little lower than the field and pretty damn close to the action. I love Petco except for the big green wall out in center field. I understand why it's there, I just wish they could do something a little more pleasing to the eye.
