Suggestions on things to do in SO. CAL??

So my cousin is coming to the U.S. from overseas and this will be his first time over here. I am going to meet him in LA for about 10 days in mid May and am just looking for some things to do around there. I personally have only been out there once, so I don't know that much about it either. What would you guys suggest some things we should do/see while out there. We probally will go to Vegas for a couple of days also, but mostly stay in LA. Also thinking we should go down to San Diego for a day or so. Let me know what you guys suggest. Thanks

Santa Monica and Venice beaches. Lotsa hotties. And weirdos.

Good mountain biking and hiking in the Santa Monica Mtns.

Rent a Harley at Route 66 riders in Marina Del Rey and hit the canyons and beach. PCH to Kanan-Dume Rd to Mulholland (stop at the Rock Store) to Las Virgines to PCH is a great ride. Or for a longer ride, PCH to Mulholland (stop at Neptunes Net for great seafood, then stop at Rock Store) to Las Virgines to PCH. Those would also be fun in a rented sports car.

Come visit us here at Stillen. I will take you around our shop and give you a tour. I would say that we'll take you for a spin in a supercharged Titan, but you already know how that feels

Hollywood, beachs like Galaxian said. You got the theme parks ( disney, knotts, universal ) SD has alot of stuff as well.

Other people can chime in as well. That's what I do when relatives come into town.

hit the LA/Hollywood clubs if that's your thing. No other clubs compare except for New York. Maybe vegas too.

If you can make it down to San Diego you really should. It's only (if the traffic gods are good) about 1 1/2 hrs south. Straight down the I-5. You can go to La Jolla and see the rich people living with the Harbor Seals, World Famous San Diego Zoo, San Diego Wild Animal Park, Sea World, Gas Lamp Downtown and of course, great beaches.

If your driving out, maybe you can meet a few of us in So. Cal and do a little offroading!

Good Luck,
DJ

The Captain charges too much for lappys. Hit Mr. J's.

Also, you can go to a ballgame. You have both Dodgers and Angels. I would suggest Angels since a) I'll probably be there, and b) Angels rock!

Thanks guys. We are going to check out some of the major attractions, but wanted some local advise. I am not driving the truck down so no offroading.

KYLE--I plan on stopping by and checking out the shop.

I thought San Diego was pretty nice. We did the usual stuff in LA, universal, disney, lots of waiting & line & traffic. Rented a 38' Beneteau at Marina del Rey & sailed to Catalina for a couple of days, which was pretty nice.

Mr. J has been close for awhile or it moved to a different location. The one near 55 freeway is a Honda dealer now. I never been to Mr. J but drove by many times.
