Phoenix Meet....Part 3, 4 or 5

I just bought my truck and i think its awesome. I read your other threads for Titan meets. And seeing as they have already passed i figure why not try to plan another one.

Im going to go the Scottsdale pavillions August 26th. So if anyone wants to join me and meet up and discuss titans and what not you are welcome to show. It is the shopping center @ the 101 and Indian Bend on the east side of town.

They have a mini golf thing there and a really big carshow, so there is plenty to do.

So if you are intrested then post it up.
Thanks all
-Justin

Re: Phoenix Meet....Part 3, 4 or 5

I am going to be in Phoenix from the 26th through Sept. 4th. I don't get into town until after 5pm on the 26th however. We will be staying at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa. I am attending a conference there from the 27th - 31st and then my wife and I are on vacation until we leave on the 4th.

If anyone has any ideas of what to do while we are there, let me know. It sure would be nice to meet up with a few folks for dinner one night if possible.

Re: Phoenix Meet....Part 3, 4 or 5

Rats... day late and a dollar short. Sorry missed it. guess I need to check in a little more often. I haven't been to the pavillions lately and it would have been fun. I did however get to talk to two other Titaneers at the RC car meet tonight at Thunderbird and 35 Ave. Neither of them have ever heard of TitanTalk.com . Now they have. How'd it go? Was yours any more succesful than the rest of ours?

Re: Phoenix Meet....Part 3, 4 or 5

The family & I went. Had never been to there before. We had fun.I didn't try parking with the "show cars" as mine is still too stock. I saw a black 4x4 cc roll thru, but about 9 my 5yo had had too much of a day. Would enjoy going again though.
I didn't know meets were happening at 35th & TBIRD. when you say RC, do you mean a car club or radio control? Both would be fun to check out.

It's just a roped off section of the parking lot (paved) and the oval is open for free racing at 7 with competition starting at 8. Still, my four year old can sit there for hours and watch these things go 'round and 'round while I stand by and talk to the other Titaneers! It's on the SW corner of 35th avenue and Thunderbird in the parking lot of the christian book store.

Then that is a different one, as there is a dirt oval track at RC Mania on 35th ae.

Re: Phoenix Meet....Part 3, 4 or 5

There was a group of rc'ers that would rope off behind Hooters on Bell @ I17 years ago. I knew a guy who raced there. Does that still happen there too?
