New to TitanTalk.....

Hello all,
I am new to this and just bought a 07 Titan SE 4dr. 4x4. I have a couple of questions regarding a couple of things and was hoping that you could help. My first question is regarding a lift kit for my Titan and the warranty. I heard that Nissan only covers warranty on CST lifts and will void warranty if any other is put on. Is this true? My second question is im looking/wanting to put wheels and tires on my truck after i lift it. If i have to go with the CST lift (for warranty reasons) i am going to put the 7" lift on. Any recommendations regarding Wheels and tires (tire rub, shaving of fenders,etc....)????

Thank you very much,

B

Re: New to TitanTalk.....

Welcome to Titan Talk and congrats on the truck!

It won't matter what type of lift you use. You're still at risk for anything not being warrantied that might be damaged/worn because of the lift.

As for wheels/tires, what size tire are you wanting to run? 35's will go under a 7" lift easily, and maybe larger. Search for pinch weld mod, and if you have stock mudflaps, you'll probably have to lose them.

You have good taste. The Moto's are nice looking wheels!

Something to keep in mind. Your mileage will suffer because of the large wheels/tires. Lots of rotational mass. And your speedo will be off. There's not any way that I'm aware of to correct the speedo.

On the plus side, you do have the lower gear ratio rear if you got the Off Road package. And that would certainly be desirable if you're going to run tires that large.

Re: New to TitanTalk.....

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new truck! Sounds like you have some big plans already! Carbeaux pretty much summed it up, but if you look around this forum, there are plenty of guys with lifted Titans. You may get some ideas from browsing the "Titan Wheels, Tires & Brakes" forum, the "Titan Pictures & Media Post" forum or the photo gallery. Great choice on the Moto Metals. Those are slick looking wheels!
