gonna need to retard my timing by 2* now, but let me ask, what would the optimal timing be for use with this module. reason i ask is many had different stock settings. some were 13, 14 or 15 before doing the 2* timing advance

just let it warm up and see were it is, take 2* off and that should get you back to normal
the stock setting for idle is 15 +/- 5 but when you do the 2 degree advance it moves the whole curve....just have whoever did your 2 degree advance to back it down 2 degrees.
a few things... why do i need to run 91 with this ? why wont it work on an 07 ? is the 07 motor different (faster) then the others ? also seriously about the mpg what will happen ?

87 octane will have a detonation problem with the power module tuning. The power module REQUIRES higher octane.
The 07 has variable valve timing. We have not yet had an 07 truck with the supercharger and the VKPro uses some of the tuning from the supercharger ECU. As far as MPG goes, since we lean out the fuel mixtures a bit to make more power I would assume that your milage will increase since you are using less gas. But, this is not designed as a fuel saver. This is designed as a performance enhancement part.

well since your in need of an 07 ill gladly give mine up for a s/c and vkpro testing lol

Kyle- Is there a reason why you can't or won't change WOT control or speed limiter? I know other reprogrammers for other vehicles ie ford, chevy, etc. can adjust for speed limit, shifting points and different tire sizes. Or is it that our ECU are soooo much more technologically advanced ... Or maybe more difficult to deal with.... Ohh and let me know if you need an 07 to test, I'm local to you guys.

There are a few reasons why we won't change the WOT controls and speed limiters.
1) Safety/Reliability is the #1 reason. We don't feel it is easy/safe on the transmission or differential to give full power at 1000 RPM. We have learned somethings from our own testing as well as some independent testing that tells us that the line pressures inside of the transmission drastically increase to a dangerous level when the truck sees WOT with no limitation.
2) Safety- We won't remove the speed limiter because of safety to the people inside of the truck as well as the people outside of the truck. There is too much liability in this. There are companies like Hypertech and Superchips that make programmers that remove the speed limiters for Chevy, Ford, and Dodge. And honestly, they have more money and better lawyers than us haha.
The reason that we can't adjust tire sizes or shift points is because of the factory ECU.

Would that not be in the TCU ?
Any updates you can give us on shipping ?

We should be getting in the first batch of harnesses by the end of the week. We have told the manufacturer to send whatever they have and keep pumping them out. I want everyone to know that we have pre-sold 70 of these modules so not everyone will be in the first shipment. Actually the first shipment will probably only be about 15-20 units. But, we should be getting more harnesses weekly so the back orders will continue to ship out regularly.
About how many units does the harness maker estimate they will be sending you each week ?
