I'm looking at '05 Titans and need recommendations for a dealer/sales person. I have one for Baker-Jackson by the Dome. Any others? I'd like to keep it on the South/East side if possible but will look all over.
Stay away from Advantage Nissan....those guys will not give an inch. Your best bet would be Baker-Jackson (South). Got mine there for a good price. To find the price you should pay...go to jscfcu.org and look up the truck you like in the chrome car book. Trust me it is worth the trip. As far as a sales person...mine left but I did most of my negotiation over the phone.

Another Advantage "stay away" - they do not deal. If you are trading in a BMW like I did, then it might be worth it because they gave me a LOT more for the 540i I had than anyone else was.

I just purchased by 04 KC LE on New Years Eve. Bought from Mossy Nissan on I-10 @ Kirkwood. I researched and talked to every Nissan fleet manager in Houston, and narrowed it down to these two - they are both extremely knowledgeable about the Titan (both years) and will give you absolutely the best deal possible. You just have to have your data down, and go in with as many quotes as you can get - I assure you they will both beat any deal you have found.
Mossy Nissan (281) 496-2200 - Gene Devenport - excellent experience - they have the best shop I have seen and the largest parts department.
This was the last dealer I visited on New Years eve, and they beat every offer I had received. Tell Gene hello for me - if he laughs let me know!
Tom Pea**** - North I45 - (281) 821-4000 - Stephen Huebschen - outstanding professional salesman. He turned me loose on the lot to look over the largest inventory of 04 and 05's in Houston (they are the 2nd largest Titan seller in the US). Very laid back and trusting - he turned me loose in an 05 without asking for ID, proof of insurance, or anything - just handed me the keys. They also got the price down equal to Mossy, and because of Stephens style of selling, I probably would have bought there, but the entire operation looked chaotic and understaffed. The shop was not as clean and organized as Mossy.
Best of luck - there are still some great deals on this great truck out there!

Hehe! When did this change? I haven't been scanning lots for a few months now, but when I was Tom Pea**** had less than half the number of Titans as either one of the Baker-Jackson stores. (that makes the total Baker-Jackson count at least 4 times the Tom Pea**** count) Tom Pea**** litereally doesn't have the acreage to house as many vehicles as either of the Baker Jackson lots. Also, Baker Jackson used to be the only Service First dealer in Houston, but I think they finally lost that title because their my wife and I (and I'm sure a couple others) have slammed their service dept on a couple surveys. Basically, Wayne Buchanan is the fleet/internet/credit union sales manager from Baker Jackson North and is great. (so is his partner Doug) however, for the Service Dept. I am still looking for a decent dealership because I have dealt with Tom Pea****s' (on my 240SX) in the past several times and Baker Jackson North's 2 times and have not been happy with either.

Here's another yes vote for Steve at Pea**** - the guy gave me a selling price via e-mail (within $100.00 of invoice), then brought the truck in from Louisiana and held the price TO THE DOLLAR. He's very easy to deal with.

talk to Hal he's the GM tell'em Max sent ya!
I second the Champion Nissan comment by Moto. Hal is a good guy and Champion was very fair with me. I didn't actually buy my Titan there, but I have it serviced there because I live in Katy. I recently bought my wife a Murano there because they are all really good people from top to bottom. I will continue to deal with them.

I spoke with a salesman at Baytown last night and...
during the conversation I asked him how they would get a truck here if they found it out of region (like in San Antonio or Louisiana). He told me they would send someone to drive it to the Baytown location. I asked him if it could be trucked in if someone didn't want any miles on it. He said it could but that would cost me extra. Have any of you had to pay extra to have your truck brought in by a private carrier or did the dealership float the cost? If you paid, how much?
Yeah Champion dealerships are pretty good dealerships. I dealt with Champion Toyota here In Austin when I bought my Tundra a few years ago. Have never had that good of an experience with a dealer sales department. Usually the sales dept sucks and the service area is great. Totally the opposite with Champion. I'm assuming that the Champion dealership(s) in Houston are part of Auto Nation like the Champion dealerships are here in Austin.

I would also recommend speaking to Hal at Champion Nissan. My business partner and I both bought our Titans from him. Do not deal with any one else. They also have a very good service department. Tell Hal that Chad sent you.
I got jerked around at Robbins- haggled for a LONG time, brought the manager down so he could make me try to feel guilty that they were GIVING the truck away and LOSING money on my trade. The interest rate they gave me sucked. Very high pressure tactics. I walked out.
I went to Baytown Nissan- ask for Ric Soliz. Tell him Chad sent you- the guy who wanted the painted bumper. He'll remember Nice guy, up front and honest, not pushy. They offered fair price for my trade, I made a fair offer on Titan, they took it. That simple. Credit department found a great interest rate. Couldn't have been happier with sales. But STAY AWAY from their service department- rotating management back there- it's a circus.
Best thing of all- Baytown doesn't play games with "Dealer installs" -They sell the truck like it came from the factory, and they start the deal at the factory sticker price. - Robbins marked up the price $1500 for "paint and fabric sealant", and a $400 pinstripe just so they could advertise an big dealer incentive. Those guys are crooks.

Yes Champion/Autonation own somthing like 137 dealerships..
I cant remember the exact amount
Funny thing is I work for them in a Ford store.
But seriously Champion Nissan gave a heck of alot more $$ for my trade.
They treated me very well, I was in/out in less than an hour..
I remeber when i bought my Ram it took a full day and a half
Hope this helps and good luck!
