Doesn't matter to me. I don't know if my wife would get into it so it'd probably just be me anyway.

Seems that a lot of the other truck forums do a similar thing. Meet at a common place (park or restaraunt) and then they go to the dragstrip. That way the non-racer types can just go home or go spectate.

Doesn't matter to me if we go to the track or not.

Another thing that some car clubs do is to have a garage day. Basically a meet at someone's house to change oil, help with mods (like install an exhaust), or other stuff to just hang out.

Well no, I don't mind at all. I kinda figured on making sure it was installed for any meet. Not much to see, really.

So far we have 5 people (myself being one of those) voting for the park setting. Those people are: vshortt, moto-max-titan, the head, adjmcloon, and rarjar.
No one has said Hooters as of yet.
The head mentioned everyone meeting and then heading to the track to either race or watch. I like the idea, but I feel like we should save it for a time when guys are not planning on bringing wives (girlfriends) or children. Again, this isn't my rodeo so everyone feel free to speak up and give your opinion.

I would have to go for the park. Not a big fan of Hooters' food, and the family might come (it is my 5 year old's truck anyway)

Pick a park, pick a day, pick a time, pick your nose just dont wipe it on the seat (thats what fords are for) lol
Do we have a dog friendly park?
Do we have a beer freindly park?
Do we have a park where we can bring toy's? (ie motorcycles,bikes,go-carts etc)

Not trying to be difficult just making suggestions.
either way let's just have some fun!!
(not jail type fun.. thats reserved for holidays and birthdays!!) :-)
((sorry it's almost six o'clock feelin froggy))

Even if I wanted to, I couldn't get too crazy. Again, if we go the route of the park (and it looks as though we will) I will be bringing my wife and my 11 month old daughter. As far as what park, I guess we will reserve that issue for when we know what day, if its definitely the park thing, and have a relatively accurate head count.

wow, i've been absent too long and this thread has gotten away from me. this forum is growing and it's hard to keep up with all the new threads.

i never have been a hooters fan ($7 burger, and all you get is a thimble-size serving of potato salad!?!? then fries cost an extra $2! NO HOOTERS.)

that being said, i like the park idea. we can bring some bbq stuff (this being texas and all, with perfect 70 deg weather in the winter ) cook some burgers and have chips and what not. the wives can make cookies shaped like little titans. it will be fun.

i think head's garage day is a great idea too. someone buy a stillen supercharger stage II w/ intercooler, and we can watch / help you install it!!!!

count me in on the park meet.

but yes, i like the beer idea. lots of trucks = tailgating.

trucks + park + texas + guys + good weather + BBQ + ______________ = great time

the only thing we need to balance the equation is beer

Park sounds good as I am a family man myself. I vote for park. Memorial is a great spot but any park will do.

How about Jan. 30th at memorial park? Afternoon?

(Where is memorial park?)

A selfish suggestion since I'll be coming into town anyway for the autoshow.

It's near the Galleria.

I would be interested in attending as well the 30th works for me. Was thinking of hitting the autoshow as well.

Well then Memorial would be perfect- just up the loop from the auto show...

So we have a second- let's hope it works for everyone's calendar!
