Houston Meet (NEW THREAD)

Here is what I have so far. The time should be (as suggested) between 2 and 5 pm at Memorial Park. The weather is supposed to be nice but a little cold. Highs around 62 or so. Anyway, I have comprised a list of people. If this list appears incorrect in any way, please speak up. I have posted a map in the other thread that shows the location. Does anyone have any suggestions on how we should meet up? In other words, how will we know that we are all there for the same reason. Eventually it would become obvious, but when the first person shows, the second person may not know if the person he sees in his Titan is one of the people that he should be looking for. Does that make sense? Anyway, the list that I have put together is as follows:

Attending: Maybe:
vshortt cjr-02's friend #2
the head big-44 hank
vermicious knid steve v.
havock wk titan4x4aggie
cjr-02 moto max titan
lljumpvid khamburg
adjmcloon
techiboi
rwilli
scarab
cjr-02's friend #1

That's 11 definites and 6 maybe's so far. Please remember that I compiled all of this information from the other thread, so again if anything is inaccurate, I apologize but please speak up so that we may all get an accurate "head count."
I'm looking forward to meeting all of you (and your families) as well as checking out other's trucks both Titan's and Armada's. See you there!

That list didn't post quite like I had hoped. However all of the names listed vertically at left are in. Any name to the right of the vertical list at left is a maybe. I hope that clears it up for you.

OK something like the above.

Someone should get there about 20-30 minutes early, tell us what color it is and if it is KC or CC, stay in their truck, flag down titans/armadas, and as people arrive it will become obvious where we're meeting.

I have been wondering about this because Memorial Park is very large. The last time I went there was to play softball in the softball complex they have. I am not very familiar with the park, so that is the only easily recognizable landmark that I know with a large parking area.

The other time I was there for the company picnic, we went to a picnic area with tables and some open grass and had parking, but I don't know how to easily recognize that spot.

When is this meet Vshortt? I am flying into Houston for the day Saturday for a party for my 60 year old uncle. How far is Memorial Park from Moe's in Katy? I will be in a rental, so will the Buick or Sentra be welcome?

Never mind. I saw the other thread that indicated that it is Sunday. Flying back home to New Orleans Sunday morning.

That sucks. I live about 4 miles from Mo's in Katy. It is Sunday so if you can somehow make it, let me know and I can meet you so that you can follow me.

Hey Havock. I posted a map on the other thread as well as where to turn once you get there. I can't remember the name of the street but it basically just makes a huge semi-circle around the entire park. I would be willing to get there early and check the place out to get a feel for where we should all meet. Then I could wait at the intersection of Memorial Drive and the other street (the one I mentioned earlier) and guide them to the spot that I have located. I will be driving a bone stock smoke LE Crew.

OK, Just pulled up the map again and it memory serves me correctly, the picnic area where I went is right at Picnic Ln and Memorial Loop right off Woodway. My wife and I aren't usually known for being on-time, so I will be on the lookout for you and probably a couple others. If I don't see you I will PM you! hehe j/k, I don't have cellular internet service.

Well I must say that I find this a little dissappointing. There were quite a few committed people on the list that have not been heard from. I'm hoping that its just because they haven't seen this yet. The only people who are in at this point are myself, havock, and the head. C'mon guys. Let's do this. It'll be fun and many of us could meet potential new friends which certainly never hurt.

yeah, I'm also still in. Maybe the ones for the meet should lower their tailgate to signal that they are there for the meet.
cheers
