Brake Fix??

Anyone in the DFW area had the latest brake fix? New rotors or whatever it is, I am assuming it is available from other posts. Just wondering what dealer you had it done at and how it went. Thanks!

Just took mine in...

In Houston...however, my breaks shook and shuttered already at 3.3K miles.

The dealer told me that they will first turn the rotors in this visit and if I got the problem again, they will put on new rotors and brakes (upgrades) after that. Champion Nissan in Katy.

Hope that helps.

I had my rotors turned at 2500 miles and now having it done again at 9600 miles. I talked with my service guy and he said that we should be recieving a letter from Nissan about the brake recall, which should be starting in May. I am taking the truck in on monday for either a turning of the rotors or new ones. I will keep you posted on the brakes.

Brought mine in yesterday at 25K miles for the first temporary fix at Tom Peac*ck - Service Manager said that they're still a couple of months away from getting the permanent fix kits.

It will eventually fail. I had that one done also (the original TSB) and it has since gone to hell. I take my truck in Monday for the new rotor TSB.

My service guy told me that if I can hack it out for another month, they'll have the perm fix, which he said was new rotors, pads, calipers, etc. My judder is back after already having been in twice for it.

Well I took mine in to get some service and am thoroughly HACKED off at the dealers service dept. I pulled in to the service area and was greeted by the service associate and I said I needed an oil change, and I would like to have the brakes fixed, he said all they are doing now is re-surfacing they have installed all of their new kits, and that they should have them in by mid may for all trucks. So I let them do the re-surfacing since it is getting to be too bad to feel it is still safe. They got it all done in about 5 hours and I went back to pick it up, no-charge, I said "so I got a free oil change?" No of course not they didnt do it!!!!!!! I hate stupidity! It was on the service sheet to be done but no one seemed to see if it had been done. Also I had them replace a loose piece of trim in the passenger foot well, they replaced it with another faulty piece?? What tech knowingly puts on a faulty piece and passes it off as fixed? so I will no longer be getting any service done at this dealer. The dealer is in Corinth(Denton) if anyone is wondering.
