After having pulled out my decoder ring, I'm guessing that what you are asking is where are we meeting since you didn't read the entire thread. The answer is Memorial Park @2pm.

I'm also starting to look outside the gates here at NASA. Not so much that I don't like it, it has to do with the mythical culture changes they say took place (yeah RIGHT). I got out of safety and into quality engineering and it just isn't for me. I don't know if I can work system safety here anymore due to the non-changes. Who knows....
I had the same thinking. It's not that I didn't like NASA, it's just that I thought I was wasting my degree at NASA doing mechanical design stuff. I thought that's what I wanted. After doing it for a month now, I can tell you working for a company that only cares about making money (which is most companies in America) is not fun. I hate it. I think I might talk to my old boss at NASA and see about coming back.
I'm starting to really regret leaving there. I like laid back community atmosphere at NASA. Sure, it might be slow at times, and there might be politics involved with stuff. But, at least there are attitudes, and it's not a bunch of mindless zombies walking around. NASA has personality, and character. I miss it.
Since the project I was on is Return to Flight, a bunch of our team went to Florida this week to check things out and see how things are going.
In retrospect, I dont know why I left. Our project was getting hot and heavy with the launch coming up, and there was lots of anticipation. I was good at what I was doing, and enjoyed everyone on my team. The pay might have been lower than the average for the Houston engineering area, but it was still good and consistent.
We'll see what happens. All I know is that I can't take this new job, and I might just quit on Monday.
What part of Houston do you live in? Where do you work? I saw a Titan just like yours at Kroger (West Rd & Bwy 8) a couple days ago and also saw one just like yours in the parking garage at MD Anderson last week.
