Trade KC Chrome Handles for XE Black Handles

I already changed my mirrors to the black XE ones.

Anyone with an XE want some Chrome handles?

I read the FSM and talked to a few other guys that did the swap, and the said it took about 30 minutes. Only one TORX screw needs to be removed from the side of the door, and the only problem I could forsee is losing that screw in the door.

Maybe do this at the Houston Titan meet on May 22?

If you haven't already, you may also want to post this in buy/sell. Unless you just want to keep your trade local.

The screw is held in with a clip. As long as you take your time, it will not fall. Just don't try taking the screw out of the door.
If you send yours, I'll send you mine. I've already done the swap, but paid for brand new ones. The KC XE handles are just sitting in my garage. I need the chrome ones to mold so that I can make custom handles. The problem is that the XE black handles have key holes in both the driver and passenger escuetcheons, while the SE/LE ones only have one on the driver's side.

Haha. Not exactly sure yet to be honest. Maybe brushed aluminum, carbon fiber, body color... who knows. Did I mention the matching emblems?

Don't worry, you'll find out... eventually.

Sounds like a good idea, but if I send mine, it might be hard to open my doors until your's come in the mail

Hey I already have an extra set of XE handles I got off of ebay that I'll trade you. That way no one needs to go without handles.

well, there is a possible issue with this whole process.

both the XE & SE driver side handles have keyholes.

only the XE passenger side has a keyhole.

i have no key cylinder in the passenger side due to the power locks, meaning the XE passenger handle will leave me with a hole, correct.

only possible soluntion is to use a handle from the rear passenger door of an XE

Sent you a PM. Can't help you with the passenger side. You could order just the escutcheon from the dealer or an online source, www.nissanpart4u.com has been the cheapest I could find for parts. Good service too.

okay, my thinking is a bit off. (jobless for the past few weeks = brain on vacation)

good idea. i PM'd m95roadster for advice, so we'll see what he did.
