Been to Houston once. Rained every day. Was real easy to get around, not too much nightlife compared to Chicago. Was only there 3 days for a softball tourney about 4 years ago.

Only been to the airport in Chicago. You need to come back and visit again. We have a meet on May 22nd, so that would be a great time for you to come back!

I don't suppose you've seen the "baseball themed" gate at Chicago Midway Airport?

Yeah we would probably have to use the entire reliant/dome parking lot...

If I can ever get a day off in conjunction w/ a meet, I'd be happy to either "pull" out the big pit or load up the small one....
...wont be able to cook any briskets.....takes 10 hours.....but my Stuffed smoked porkloin only takes 4 hrs.........but theres always burgers, dogs and links.....

What I had talked about with my wife would be something like Joebob brings X pounds ground beef. Susie brings Y pounds chicken breasts. Willie brings x bags of chips. Scottsbro brings a pit. Havock brings charcoal/lighter fluid. You get the idea.

That way various people bring their assigned portion of the feast and one or two people don't get shafted with buying for everyone and you wouldn't get shafted with all the associated cooking costs.

Dont you dare bring charcoal............that crap aint touchin' my pit....
only HARDWOOD..hehe...Mesquite, Hickory, Oak, or Pecan....

But anyway the rest is a good idea.......oh I dont even need the lighter fluid...

I got the Girl Scouts to thank for that.........Take a Cardboard Egg carton, put dryer lint in each cup..fill with hot wax....to use, simply cut 2 cups off and light, place under wood....its awesome............

Guys, guys, guys. I can easily solve this right now by simply listing the 4 best cities / areas in Texas:

1 - College Station. 20,000+ beautiful Texas ladies aged 18-22

2 - Central Texas Hillcountry. Wimberley (breathtaking, and lots of curvey roads)/ San Marcos / New Braunfels (Guadalupe river & Gruene)

3 - San Antonio. Big, Fun, but not too Busy...and they have the Spurs. GO SPURS GO!

4 - Clear Lake. 30 miles from Galveston, 30 miles from Houston, and plenty of stuff to do in between.

There. Simple as that. And it doesn't include either Austin or Houston, so yall dont have to fight any more
