That way various people bring their assigned portion of the feast and one or two people don't get shafted with buying for everyone and you wouldn't get shafted with all the associated cooking costs.
You forgot me.

Me = Aggies = BONFIRE = Fire & Wood

(no falling bonfire jokes. i've heard 1 million+ of them. they got old. and yes, i realize the irony of an engineering school building a bonfire that falls)

No stupid jokes here, man. I find nothing comical about that horrible tragedy. Nothing at all.

Actually that would be the only obvious way to handle it. The issue with that is What if Joebob and his ground beef decide not to show? I'm for whatever you guys want to do, but the committment must be solid on all parts.

We are starting to build a group of people that can be held accountable and reliable. We run a small risk of an emergency arising, but through good communications we can work around these issues. For example, I am supposed to bring some charcoal for Scottsbro's pit (j/k dude, I meant hardwood) and find out that my grandma died. I call VShortt, Scottsbro23, cjr02 or someone and arrange for them to deliver the wood to the meet.

only HARDWOOD..hehe...Mesquite, Hickory, Oak, or Pecan....

But anyway the rest is a good idea.......oh I dont even need the lighter fluid...

I got the Girl Scouts to thank for that.........Take a Cardboard Egg carton, put dryer lint in each cup..fill with hot wax....to use, simply cut 2 cups off and light, place under wood....its awesome............
I was thinking smaller scale. I would assume you use good wood in the big daddy pit, but didn't know if you would use 100% wood in a little guy.

You have a truck. I would expect you to bring your grandma, coffin and all to the meet. It's not like we'd have to worry about feeding another person, anyway.

Now THAT'S accoutability and reliability.

Yeah I use wood in the smaller one.....its a minime pit to the big one ...sort of..
its just a New Braunsfel (sp) smoker...the one with the small firebox and 1 lid on the pit....they're everywhere....

Now you do realize I cant bring it to the meet on the 22nd...right?

UNLESS I can talk the War Dept. into me calling in sick that day and doin the kids stuff and then bringing the Family w/ me to the meet...let me see what I can do......
