Off Road package... NONE in Texas????

hey guys,
just started calling around to find a new titan and i was very surprised to find out that no dealership in texas, or its neighboring states, has an 05 crew cab with the off-road package . after already facing the dissapointment of not being able to get the VDC or airbags without other silliness i am a bit dissapointed. off road packages are super common with the domestics, is there something i'm missing?

What are you looking for specifically? I know up until recently if was more difficult to find a 4x4 that wasn't off-road. Can't imagine that it went so far the other way as to not have any OR packages. And I'm not sure if you know this or not, so please don't be offended. The 4x2's are no longer maded with the OR package, so you will have a hard time finding a 4x2 w/OR because it will have to be a left over '04 model.

i am looking for a 4x4 with off road.

when i looked for this same truck in january (se crew cab, big tow, utilitrac, off road) they were not too hard to find.

now i have had two seperate salesman (one at bj south, on at tom pea****) tell me the closest truck with those specs is in freakin nebraska.

i don't give a flip about the shocks but i had really wanted the skid plates and e locker....

the salesman at backer jackson south said they had gotten lots of that spec in '04, but most had trouble moving them (sounds weird as this is basically equivalent to the z71 from chevy which is a common as dirt around town) and consequently did not order them for '05.

i still just can't believe no one has this truck. it seems like a common set up here on the forum.

Yep, it is a common config. In fact it is the same thing I have, but mine is 4x2. Are you willing to wait a little while? You can always order one. If you order it and one comes out of the factory soon, it should be diverted here for you.

i don't think i can wait. we were really planning on using this truck for our upcoming move, my '90 nissan p/u is simply not up to it. if not for the move i wouldn't mind waiting at all.

the thing is, i doubt i would get the price i need if i ordered it, and the chance it would come in within the next three weeks would have to be small.

i'm really not sure what i am going to do.

Found a white LE 4x4 OR at BJ north. No BT though.

Tom Peac0ck has LE 4x4 OR BT and a bunch of other stuff. They actually have a couple LE's w/ 4x4 OR.

Still no SE's anywhere though.

Did you do a search on nissanusa.com? You can search by equipment and miles from your zip. Thats how I found mine...

i wouldn't be able to afford the LE with the OR.

i absolutely have to have the tow package.

i just called a dealership in st louis who told me no place in missouri or it's neighboring states has this vehicle.

however........................................... .............

he did mention that dealerships see lists to make "suplemental" orders on daily, which often have trucks like this one, and that they can be had in 3-4 days from when they order it. i am going to pursue this option before giveing up.

thanks for looking into the matter for me. i really appreciate the help.

HavockWK,
wow, thanks! just got off the phone with them and they definately have it.

first thing the guy says when i tell him what i am looking for is "been having trouble finding that huh?". i laughed out loud and tried to play it cool.

with only one in town i hope they will play ball as my options are pretty limited.

I just checked online, they are now called "Clear Lake Nissan".

They dont have much listed online, which suprised me since the have a section of their lot devoted to "Nissan Trucks". They might not have updated their online inventory though, because they had a huge amount of crew-cab Titans on the lot when I was there a few days ago.

David McDavid (Beltway 8 & I45 South) has a 4x4 SE CC with the TEXAS TITAN packed (chrome rims = awesome). It's smoke, and I'm guessing it looks gorgeous! You could probably buy the skid plates off someone here in town, maybe. Or wait for aftermarket. Dont know about the locking diff though.

They also have a black 4x4 SE CC with big tow, but it has the RF package and captains chairs (not worth it, IMO)

Well, I had a few links right here, but they changed after I posted this. Stupid internet. Whatever.

You really ought to come down here to Clear Lake and see what they have. They added a lot of new stuff here, so they might have what you want. This weekend I might go check it out for you, if you dont end up getting that one in Humble or Tomball or wherever they said it was.

And if you get it, YOU BETTER BRING IT TO THE MAY 22 MEET!!!!!
