The last meet was a tremendous success!! Meeting all of you was fantastic and hopefully we can all meet even more people at the next one. This time what I am doing is setting up a poll which allows us to choose from two potential dates. Simply put, top poll wins so if you want your choice to be the one...then vote. That said, the two dates will be July 10th and July 17th. The poll will close in 15 days and whichever day wins is the day that we will do it. If you don't have a preference, PLEASE DON'T VOTE!! That way, you will not alter the outcome of those that have a specific day that they would prefer to be there. Remember, this is only to determine the date. Once we have, we will hash out the other issues once this poll closes. Keep your eyes open for further details. I have chosen not to vote since either is good for me.
LETS SHOW 'EM ALL WHAT HOUSTON, TEXAS IS MADE OF!!!

My mom and her husband will be coming into town to see the baby somewhere around the 10th. My mom won't want to go, so that is why I am voting for the 17th! Plus, it would give me extra recovery time. Of course, it is not all about me but...

ummm... Well, if your mom will be here on the 10th, I vote for the 10th then!
Third Sunday of every month is a competition day for me. So, the 17th is no go for me, unless you want to meet in Columbus, then I can shoot and meet you guys.

Cowboy Action Shooting. Check out the website if you're interested: http://www.thss.org/
I have considered IPSC before, but that was when I was shooting a lot. These days I'm lucky to make it to the range once a year or so. I need to quit blowing all my money on the Titan and buy a couple more cases of ammo and go to the range and get back in practice!
Single/cowboy action is cool to watch good people, but I am more of a semi-auto type.

Me too, however, shooting both is just too expensive, and the folks at the CAS matches are so much more fun to be with that those at the IPSC matches.
Plus you get to fire more than just the handgun, most scenarios require 2 pistols, one rifle and one shotgun. We usually run 10 scenarios, figure 10 pistol rounds, 10 rifle rounds and 6 shotgun rounds per scenario. Lots of lead downrange and usually a black and blue shoulder.
