Brake Kits @ Champion in Katy!

I got the new kit on my truck...and what a difference. You can actually feel the stopping improvement. If you have had the break shutter on your '04..take it there, excellent work! Also, they do excellent work and I have never had any issues with their service...go visit them and tell them you have shuddering and you'll get the new kit!

I got a call from Janice (who runs the parts department) at Champion Nissan in Katy. She asked me to post a message here to everyone and tell them they have "tons" of kits for the brake TSB. For those of you who haven't gotten them to this point, she asked that I tell everyone that you no longer have to have had your brakes done a specific number of times. If you've never had them done at all, it doesn't matter. Just go up there and get your brakes handled. Just wanted to pass this along to anyone in the Houston area that is still looking for a kit to have their truck taken care of.

I might have to make a trip out there. I was at Sterling McCall yesterday getting some stuffs when I decide to inquire about brake judder. This is what the service guy told me. "If you have an 04 we will change out the front rotors and pads, turn the rear rotors and replace pads BUT if you have an 05 we will only turn front/rear rotors and replace all pads". According to him ALL 05 have new rotors just some have old pads that cause it to warpped. I told him about early bulit date of 05 still having old rotors and he told me no. Didn't want to argued with a mis-informed service advisor so I just say Thank you and left.

I got mine a few weeks ago at David McDavid Nissan @ Gulf Freeway & Beltway 8.

Saturday morning around 9 am, took about 3 hours. They also changed the rear pads and machined the rear discs.

I was metal-metal on the front. :yikes

I'm doing well, Chad. Thank you for asking. I trust all is well with you also. Definitely get up there and take advantage of what they are offering. Janice was very clear that she would like to see everyone that has a Titan and is having difficulty getting the service done, go there to have theirs taken care of. I hope it works out for you, man.

That is a horsesh*t answer. Do yourself a favor. Get on 99 and head north to I10. You know the rest. Then when you're finished and all is well there, make the 3 mile trip (back in your direction home) and stop by and meet a fellow Titan owner. Good luck, Fanz.
