Happy with dealer service dept treatment

I want to openly congratulate the service department at Douglass Nissan in College Station. They have treated me very well on my visits and deserve recognition. I have been there three times for different minor issues listed below:

First, stopped by to have them do the first oil change and to fix the rear window regulator. The window was making a noticable 'thump' sound when fully opened and at the end of the track. They said, yes, it needs to be fixed and we will order the parts right away and call you when they arrive. They did just that and in short order the rear window thump was resolved.

Second trip was for an ongoing advertisement campaign for $10 oil changes on Saturday mornings. They fixed me right up and did not hit on me in the sales dept. Once again, very courteous and professional.

Last trip, I called them to request the brake upgrade kit for my 05. I expected them to want to see the truck to verify that indeed it had the problem. Nope - they said we will order a kit for you right away without seeing the truck and they will call back when the kit arrives. It arrived when they said it would and recontacted me. We arranged a date to do the swap out and again they did just what they said. In addition, I told the folks that I had noticed on two occasions my fuel gauge reading way off and both times was right after a fill up. Upon pickuping up my truck they told me there was a TSB out on the fuel sending unit and they changed it out.

Douglass has treated me very well and I highly recommend them based on my experiences above. They have been terrific on keeping dates and calling back. Given how much dealer and service dept bashing gets posted, I wanted to highlight some positive experiences. Kudos to the team at Douglass (.. and I did not even buy the truck there)!

I have to agree with you on this one. I have taken my truck in about 3 times for some minor issues as well and they are very nice. I really like the free "shuttle" that they offer. That reminds me I have to take it in for the brake judder problem soon, just started doing it yesturday at 21k, for the second time.

I too, did not buy from them. Bought mine at Sterling McCall in Houston. I have taken mine to Baker Jackson North, and you can't even compare the great service of Douglass to them.

By the way, I delt with todd. Really nice guy to deal with.
